A woman stepped in, walking towards Derek with the council at her flanks. "Where are your children?" She asked.
"Hello, Camila." Derek said. "Nice to see you."
The woman, Camila, rolled her eyes. "Where are your children, Derek?" She repeated with a harsh tone.
"It's their birthday." She continued, folding her arms across her chest. "It's time for them to receive their full power. We shall see you in the forest at midnight."
The warlock watched as she and the council turned to leave but arched a brow when she had paused in step.
"Oh," The witch said as she turned to him once more. "We don't want anymore screw ups from your children. Your position is already on thin ice and we do not forget what happens in the witch community.."
"What are they saying?" Leah whispered as she kept her eyes on Raphael but glanced every so often to the council standing with her father.
"They're saying that your father's position is in jeproady.." Raphael replied as he listened into the conversation, Leah having asked him to because of his werewolf abilities.
The witch frowned in confusion at her boyfriend's answer. "Why?" She asked.
"They don't want you and TJ to cause anymore trouble." He answered.
"Now I'm even more nervous.." She said with a heavy sigh.
"Stop.." The Alpha said as he gave his full attention to his Luna. "You're going to be okay."
"You don't know that.." She replied softly.
The wolf gave her a look. "You doubt me, babygirl?" He asked.
"I don't doubt you. It's just.." She trailed off, beginning to feel frustrated. She shook her head and folded her arms across her chest. "No, I refuse to take my magic." She announced.
The group of friends looked at her in shock.
"Leah.." TJ began.
"That's a big no-no." Castiel said. "Raphael will not be allowed to date you if you become a mundane. It's the law. It protects us from the humans and you will be banished from your family.."
Leah frowned deeply as Raphael clenched his jaw. "Fine." He said. "If she doesn't want her magic, I will give up my position to be with her."
The witch swung her head to look at him with a soft glare. "That is not an option." She said.
"The pack will be in good hands." He said and looked over at his beta.
"Dude.." Fangs breathed, staring at his best friend in shock.
"No, Raphael." Leah said. "You can't turn off your werewolf gene."
Raphael stared at her with fierce determination in his eyes. "I'm not going to leave you." He replied only to be silenced with a kiss before he could utter another word.
"You are not sacrificing anything for me." She said after she had pulled back from their kiss. "You have done so much for me.. Now, it's my turn."
"Leah--" He began but was cut off.
"Kiss me.." She said. "For good luck and stuff." She added with a smirk and a casual shrug.
He stared down at her, stroking her cheek lightly. "I am willing to leave this life for you." He whispered, leaning in slowly.
"I know but you won't have to." She said and closed the gap between them as they met in a passionate kiss.
Midnight came around, Derek standing with the council as he watched his children with a frown on his face. He could tell that they were both nervous despite their determination.
TJ closed his eyes with a soft sigh, reopening them to look at his twin sister. "You ready?" He asked softly.
Leah let out a shakey breath as she looked at her brother, nodding slowly. "Yeah.." She replied softly. "Let's do this."
With a nod, the twins shifted their gaze onto the council as the ceremony began and all that Derek could do, was watch his children with hidden fear in his eyes.
