Raphael had just gotten out of the shower the following morning when he had heard Leah coughing.

He quickly wrapped a towel around his waist and ran into the bedroom to find her spluttering into a tissue.

"Are you okay?" He asked with deep worry.

Leah remained silent, pulling the tissue away from her mouth to reveal blood on it and around her mouth but it was the colour of it that caught the Alpha's eyes.

Her blood was black.

Immediately, he had gone into panic mode and went straight towards his phone that lied on the dresser.

"I'm calling your father." He said, trying to keep himself as calm as possible but anyone could tell that he was extremely concerned.

Leah closed her eyes as she leaned back into the propped up pillows. "I think we need to make peace with what's happening." She said softly.

"No." Came Raphael's immediate response.

The witch opened her eyes to look at her lover. "Raphael.."

"No, Leah." He said as tears flooded his eyes. "You're going to be fine, okay? We'll find a way to make you better."

"Just end the pain.." She pleaded weakly. "Please."

Raphael stared at her as tears rolled down his cheeks. He watched as her eyes fluttered closed and he released a shakey breath.

"You're going to make it, even if it's the last thing I do." He said softly with determination.

Derek sat at his daughter's bedside, holding her hand as her breathing became heavy.

It had been over 3 hours since Raphael had left them.

The warlock frowned seeing tears well up in his little girl's eyes. "Come on, mija.." He cooed gently as tears of his own began to form. "You can't give up."

"I'm trying.." Leah replied weakly. "It hurts."

"We are doing everything we can.. We're going to get you better, I promise." He said.

"It's so painful.." She croaked.

Derek frowned, wanting nothing more than to remove his child's pain. "I know, princesa."

A tear slid down her cheek as she looked at her father. "I can't anymore.." She whispered.

"Just try to hang on for a little longer.." Derek begged.

Leah gave him a weak smile as her eyes fluttered close. "Goodnight, Dad." She whispered.

TJ, who stood silently in the bedroom watching his sister, frowned deeply before turning his gaze to his father.

"Something is wrong, Dad.." He said softly. "I don't feel her.. I don't feel Leah.."

Derek turned towards his son with a frown only to see him holding onto his chest with a fearful look settling in his gaze.
