"Leah, you don't want to do this." Lucifer pleaded with the young witch as she, her brother and father prepared for themselves to perform the spell that following day. "I can save you from those monsters."
"I can save myself, thank you very much." She replied with a glare.
Seeing as getting through to the witch was going to be a challenge, the Dark Lord turned towards the young warlock. "TJ, I'm your Dad. Come on, let me go." He tried bargaining but TJ simply ignored him.
TJ had stepped back from setting up and shifted his gaze between his father and sister. "Okay, just chant the spell and don't lose focus.. If we lose focus, his magic can land into anyone of us." He explained and let out a soft sigh. Derek had decided that TJ should lead them with the spell and needless to say, the young warlock felt a weight on his shoulders.
"Where is the configuration device?" He asked.
Derek had pulled out a small box which held the configuration device. He opened it and pulled the device out, setting it on the ground facing Lucifer.
He stepped back and joined hands with his children as TJ continued. "Focus on the device. We want his magic to be contained in it."
With a nod firm nod, the family began their chant as they focused on the device.
Lucifer groaned in pain, shifting uncomfortably against the confinement of the chains and shackles. A dark ball of engery soon left him and floated in between them.
"It's working." TJ announced. "Keep chanting."
The ball of energy began moving around and made its way towards Leah.
"Don't be scared, Leah." The young warlock said in a calm manner as the ball floated around his sister.
It soon moved onto TJ, where it floated around him, before it moved towards the centre where the device lied. Eventually, the dark enegy ball disappeared, having been captured into the configuration device.
TJ breathed a sigh a of relief, not even noticing that his nose had begun to bleed while Leah, who hadn't bled, closed her eyes with a shakey sigh.
Derek placed his hands onto his children's shoulders. "I am so proud of you both." He said softly with a proud smile.
The twins gave their father soft smiles before Leah shifted her gaze to an unconscious Lucifer. "What do we do with him?" She asked.
"I'll handle him." The older warlock replied.
The young witch looked up to her father with a small frown. "You're not going to kill him, are you?" She questioned as she glanced at the Dark Lord. "Cause I think he's pretty harmless."
Derek shook his head with a slight chuckle. "I may hate him but I wouldn't go so far as to kill him." He answered.
"I think a little mundane life would do him good." She said.
"You are too nice for your own good, mija." The father of two chuckled. "But yes, one can only hope."
"It's punishment enough." She added with a nod.
TJ, who had wiped the blood from his nose, picked up the configuration device and carefully set it back into the box. He stood up and looked at his father and sister. "I'll be back." He said and left them without another word.
He stood outside and ran a hand through his soft, dark curls. Letting out a soft sigh, he raised his hand and knocked on the door.
He heard soft footsteps, along with what sounded like soft sniffling, coming from the opposite side of the door. He frowned to himself and looked up as the door opened, to see Breana wiping her face from tears.
"Hey." He greeted softly, frowning to himself as he watched her continue to wipe her face with a soft sniffle. It broke his heart to see her cry. Maybe he was a bit too harsh on her.
"Hey.." She replied.
Silence fell over them as they stared at each other, neither removing their gazes off the other.
"The spell worked.." TJ announced. "I don't think he can hurt you or your Dad again."
"Thank you.." She said softly with a slow nod. "You didn't have to do that. At least not after everything I've done."
The warlock nodded softly and handed her the box containing the configuration device as well as a book. "Thank you for the ancient spell book." He said.
The angel merely gave him a small smile with a slow nod as she took the items from him.
"I've read about angels." He said softly, which made Breana look up at him. "I hope you've redeemed yourself and can go back. I'm sure that this one good deed will help."
"Maybe.." She replied.
He nodded slowly. "Uh, I have to go.." He announced. "My Mom wants a normal family dinner."
"Before you do.." Breana started and placed the items down before she reached for her necklace which held a ring that TJ had given her. "I thought you'd want this back.." She said and began to remove the ring from her necklace until TJ stopped her.
"Keep it." He said, looking from the promise ring to her. "I've forgiven you."
The angel stared at him in wonder. How could he ever forgive her for everything that she's put him and his family through. Hell, she had almost killed her best friend. She didn't deserve his forgiveness.
"But.." He continued. "You need to forgive yourself. And with that, you need time." He said and saw her small frown. "I have a lifetime to wait for you." He added with a soft smile.
"You still feel that way? After everything?" She asked. She couldn't wrap her head around how the boy could still love her.
TJ smiled softly and cupped her face gently between his hands, slowly bringing her face towards his where he pressed a kiss against her forehead. Pulling away, keeping his hands lightly against her cheeks, he peered down into her eyes. "If I didn't I wouldn't have fallen in love with you to begin with. You deserve to be loved through the good and the bad.. And I love you. Always."
Breana gripped hold of his top as she let out a shakey breath
TJ took hold of her hand and lightly kissed the inside of her wrist before he stepped back. "I'll see you around, Bre." He said with a soft smile. "Hopefully you can tell me about who you are with your freedom." He added.
The angel nodded her head as a soft smile etched its way onto her face. "That's a promise." She replied softly.
"Oh, and tell your Dad that Leah said hi." He said. "She says Leo is kicking ass. I think she's talking about her hockey stick so I'm not sure what that means."
Breana giggled softly. "She named it after him." She replied.
"And I don't understand why." A new voice spoke up, making the teenagers turn around to find Leo making his way over with a smile.
"Hi, sir." TJ greeted the older angel.
"TJ." Leo nodded his head with a smile.
The warlock gave a polite smile before his eyes landed on Breana who stared at him. He gave her a soft smile before he turned and left.
The young angel watched her first love climb into the car before he drove off. She let out a soft sigh as she watched the car slowly disappear.
Leo placed his hand onto his daughter's shoulder lightly. "You'll be with each other again." He said softly.
Breana looked up to her father with a small smile before glancing down the road once more. "Yeah.." She whispered softly.
