It didn't seem to get any better of the course of the next couple of days.
Leah had just gotten weaker and weaker.. It appeared as if she had lost her magic, she was constantly exhausted, she had refused to eat and was beginning to cough up blood.
Raphael was going out of his mind with deep worry for his mate. She just wasn't getting any better and he was beginning to feel useless with his efforts.
It wasn't until one day where he had, had enough. "I knew this was a bad idea.." He began, catching Leah's attention. "You shouldn't have taken it on. I would have left this life to be with you."
The witch glared at him fiercly, earning a soft sigh from him in return.
"I'm sorry.." He said. "But I feel so useless. I can't do anything to make you feel better.. I wish I could just take away everything that you are feeling right now."
Leah shook her head. "You are no help." She said and slowly got up, grabbing hold of her robe and putting it on.
"Woah, woah, woah.." Raphael said, moving towards her. "Where are you going?"
"I am going to my Dad." She said as she held onto the wall in attempt to hold her body up as she walked along slowly.
Remaining silent, the Alpha picked her up which spiked the witch's anger. "If you don't let me go right now.." She warned.
"You are staying in bed." He replied.
"No!" She yelled, her struggling futile against him as he placed her back in bed.
"I will tell him to come over." Raphael said and got his phone out, Leah glaring at him as he began to converse with her father over the phone.
"I hate that." She said, folding her arms and looking away from him after he had hung up and rested his gaze on her.
"Leah.." He sighed softly. "I am trying to help you." He replied.
She shifted her gaze to him with a scoff. "Helping me?" She repteated. "You're not helping me, Raphael. All you are doing is making me mad. I just wanted to do one thing."
"Leah--"
"No." She said cutting him off and the two stared at each other intently, not even noticing that Derek had stood in the doorway of the bedroom, looking between the couple, until he had made himself known.
"Am I interrupting something?" The warlock asked softly.
Leah turned her gaze to her father, briefly glancing at Raphael, before she shook her head. "No." She replied. "Raphael was just leaving."
Raphael looked at her with shock as the room fell silent. It took him a few seconds before he made a move, grabbing hold of his coat and leaving the room entirely and all Leah did was watch with a frown etching it's way onto her face.
She let out a deep sigh as she began to mutter to herself in Spanish.
"What happened?" Derek asked softly.
"Nothing.." The teen replied.
"Mija.." The warlock gave her a pointed look. "That didn't look like nothing." He said.
The witch gave her father a small glare which made him sight softly. "I'll drop it." Derek said.
"Good idea." She responded and closed her eyes for a brief moment. "How is TJ? Is he sick too?" She asked.
The Rivera patriarch took a seat on the bed next to her. "A little." He answered. "Not as bad as you, though."
The raven haired teen shook her head slightly. "Something is wrong.." She said. "I don't have magic anymore and I know someone who wanted it badly.."
Oh, but the warlock knew all too well who it was. He balled his hands into fists as he clenched his jaw. "I am going to kill him." He muttered.
"You need to investigate the council.." She suggested.
With a firm nod of his head, Derek responded. "Oh, I plan to."
"Don't tell me about this.." Leah said softly and looked towards the door. "We may be fighting but I love him.. I refuse to lose him."
"Leah.." He began. "He's just concerned but if you'd like to come home, I can take your things over and I can come and fetch you."
She remained silent for a moment, biting her lip as she thought it over before she fnally shook her head. "That won't be necessary, Daddy." She said. "He is my boyfriend. We need to talk it out."
Derek nodded softly with a gentle smile before he leaned over and placed a kiss on his daughter's forehead. "Okay, mija." He replied. "I will send TJ over to visit."
Leah nodded with a smile. "Sounds like a plan." She let out a small laugh. "But I need to speak with Raphael first."
