'Ugh, why is this so hard?' I whined as I looked at the newly-bought clothes spread out on my bed.

What should I go with? The wine-red, the burnt-orange or the olive-green? See, this is why I liked to stick with my blacks. The only thing I had to do was decide between a black hoodie and a black sweatshirt. Now, I have to deal with colours.

After several minutes of contemplation and making a mental "pros and cons" list for each of the options, I decided to go with the wine-red hoodie. I put it on with a pair of black jeans with white details on the back pockets. I pulled out the scrunchie from my hair and let it down. Finishing touches included white socks with a pair of high-tops and a tinted lip-balm. As soon as I was done, I heard a knock at my door.

'Come in.' I responded.

'Ooh, someone's going out.' Dylan said, raising his eyebrows.

'I've got a date. The thing when people go out, have dinner, listen to music, enjoy and have a good time? Not that you'd know.' I said with a smirk.

'Hey, I've got people practically begging me to go out with them. But I've been declining because I'm busy, you know?' he said in his weak defence.

'Says the person who spends four hours a day watching Netflix.' I said, rolling my eyes.

He scoffed. 'You're sitting right next to me for most of that time.'

'No, I'm not. Also, I don't have the time to crush you with my sarcasm right now. So, later!'

I looked at my phone and I had gotten a text from Ethan. "I'm here.", it said.

'We'll see who gets crushed. Anyway, who's your date?'

'Ethan. The guy I told you about, remember?'

'The last time I checked, you despised him.' he said with a chuckle.

'Yeah, it's a long story. I'll explain later.' I said as I walked towards the door.

'Yeah, okay. Don't forget about tomorrow.'

'The car, I know. I don't have that bad of a memory. I'll see you later, bye!' I hollered as I rushed out.

I saw Ethan in his car and I walked up to him. He was wearing a white V-neck with a pair of blue denims. His hair was a little damp, as if he had just showered before he came to pick me up. His scent was like that of vanilla and almonds. He smiled at me as I got in.

'Hey. Experimenting with colours, are we?' he said, looking at my hoodie.

'It looks stupid, doesn't it?' I said, a bit flustered.

'You look beautiful, it suits you. The colour, the hair, everything.'

'Thanks.' I whispered. I'm not the best at taking genuine compliments. 'Anyway, where are we going today?'

'Look, dates with me are going to be full of mysteries and surprises. I'm not going to tell you where we're going. Guess you'll find out once we're there.' he said with a wink.

'You sure like the dramatic effect, don't you?' I asked, shaking my head.

'You know that's right.' he said with a smirk.

We drove around for about fifteen minutes. Just like I had suspected, we weren't having dinner at a restaurant. Instead, we picked up some burgers and fries and kept driving. We listened to some music and compared our playlists for most of the ride.

'We're here.' Ethan said, as we pulled up in front of a building.

'Where are we?' I asked.

'This is where I live. Come on.'
