Preliminaries -Part 2

~Y/n POV~

"Hinata listen to me, withdraw now. You know you were never meant to be a ninja." Neji said. I gasped at his comment. "You're too kind and gentle. You seek harmony, and avoid conflict. You allow yourself to be easily swayed by others." he said. "I mean he was right, she is soft, but he doesn't have to say it. She fights in her own way." I thought. Hinata said she entered to Chunin Exams because she wanted to change.

Neji continued to talk about Hinata, until he activated his byakugan. I looked at Hinata who was shaking. With his byakugan activated, he continued to talk down on Hinata. Naruto and I were visibly getting angry. Tears formed in Hinata's eyes. "That does it!" my brother shouted. "Don't let him bad mouth you Hinata, kick his butt!" I shouted. Neji and Hinata looked at you and your brother.

"Who gave you the right to tell her who she can and can't be?! Go on Hinata show this guy he's wrong!" my brother shouted, angrily. "Your not weak y'know, your strong!" I shouted encouragingly.

~Hinata POV~

"Naruto..[Y/n].." I thought.

~Y/n POV~

Kakashi sensei, Sakura, and Lee stared at the two of us in shock. My brother growled, then yelled, "Hinata, you just gonna stand there and take that? Do something! Your driving me crazy!" I nodded my head agreeing with him. Hinata then started to get serious, she activated her byakugan. "That's the spirit Hinata!" I thought.

Hinata then got into fighting stance. "Defend yourself, my brother." she said. Lee then elaborated on the Hyuga style Hinata and Neji were using. Both Neji and Hinata charged forward at each other, each attack getting blocked. Hinata, then finally landed a hit on Neji. "Did she get him?" Sakura asked. "No way, she hardly touched him." my brother said. Lee explained by saying, "Even so, a glancing blow is enough. That is what makes the Hyuga clan the most formidable of fighters." Sakura then asked, "What does?"

Guy sensei then explained how to Hyuga clan uses a special kind of taijutsu that attacks the opponents internal organs and chakra network. "You see, you can't build up your internal organs, no matter how hard you train. Even the toughest ninja is vulnerable to this type of attack." Kakashi sensei said. Hinata and Neji continued to battle it out. "Hinata, way to go!" my brother shouted. "They attack the chakra network. These people are amazing!" Sakura said stunned. Lee then had to explain what the chakra network was to my, not so smart brother.

"Wow Lee! How'd you ever get to be so smart?" my brother asked. Sakura then proceeded to hit him over the head for being stupid. "Hey!" I yelled at her. She flinched and nervously laughed. After a few more things were explained, Hinata finally landed a blow on Neji!

At least that's what I thought.. "Yeah get him!" Naruto shouted. "Wait a minute, Naruto." I said to my brother, wide eyed. We all stood in suspense. Hinata then coughed up blood, "Hinata!" I called out. "So that's it huh? That's all there is to the main branches power?" Neji asked. Sakura gasped and my brother asked, "Wait what is going on? I mean I saw Hinata hit Neji perfectly!"

Hinata then attempted to hit Neji again, but he grabbed her arm and hit a chakra point. Neji then raised up Hinata's sleeve revealing red dots and said, "I could see your chakra points the whole time." Kakashi sensei then explained what chakra points were. Hinata was then hit on her chest, pushing her back. I felt bad for her, but I couldn't do anything. "Look Hinata, I'm completely out of your league and that won't change. This is what separates the elites from the failures." Neji said. While Hinata was on the ground panting Neji gave her one last chance to forfeit the match.

Hinata slowly stood up while saying, "I never go back— on my word -because that too is my nindo, my ninja way." Hinata then looked up at me and Naruto. I gave her a reassuring smile, to which she returned. "I had no idea that Hinata's as tough as she is." Naruto said. "She is a lot like you two." Lee said. Sakura nodded and said, "You know come to think of it, she is always watching you two." I didn't even notice. Both the siblings reactivated their byakugan.

Hinata stumbled back a little, clutching her heart, and coughing up blood. I gasped, she has reached her limit. Neji got into fighting stance. "Doesn't it seem like the difference in strength makes is unfair? He's just way too strong." Sakura said. Hinata then bottled up what strength she had left and charged at Neji. They both exchanged blow after blow. Hinata tried to land a blow on Neji, but he blocked it and hit her upside the chin. She caught herself and charged at him one last time.

That was it.. Neji landed a huge blow to the chakra point around Hinata's heart. Hinata then coughed up a pool of blood and fell to the ground. Tears formed in my eyes as I shouted, "Hinata!"

A itsy bitsy time skip

Hinata slowly stood back up. "What do you think you're doing? If you continue to fight, you're going to die." Neji said. As much as I hated to admit it, he was right. Neji activated his byakugan and Hinata slowly walked towards him, then she said something that made Neji very upset. Neji charged at Hinata. "Neji no! The match is over!" the proctor yelled chasing after him. "No!" I shouted with tears running down my face. Before Neji could hit her, some Jounin stepped in and stopped him.

Hinata then fell to the ground coughing. Me, Naruto, Sakura, and Lee jumped down to check on Hinata. "Hinata, you ok?" my brother asked. She then asked Naruto and I if she had changed, before she passed out. "Hey you two, losers." Neji called out to me and Naruto. "I have two pieces of advice for you. First of all, if you intend to be a shinobi, stop that stupid cheering. And second, once a failure, always a failure. You can't change that." he stated.

That was it. I've had it. I stood up with my head down and hair floating. Four chains emerged from my back, but before I could attack I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up with tears in my eyes from anger, it was Kakashi sensei. "Don't do anything you'll regret [Y/n]. Learn to have self control, and ignore hate." he said. Naruto and the others stood in shock at my appearance, and so did the people on the upper level. My chains disappeared and my hair stopped floating. I kept my head down in shame. Everybody stood silently staring at me in shock. I was a monster.

~Gaara's POV~

I looked at [Y/n] in shock, I then put a menacing smile on my face. "I want to fight her." I said to Kunkuro and Temari. They both looked at me in shock. Killing her will definitely add purpose to my life.

~Y/n POV~

After the fight with Lee and Gaara (we all know how that went) we were given a month to prepare for the final phase. Naruto and I were supposed to be trained by Ebisu, but ended up being trained by pervy sage. Me and my brother are making.. ok progress.

I won't let Hinata down..
