I stared out the glass window, head in hand and eyes dropping.
It had been a long long day and it was going to get even harder, it always did.
I watched as the clouds rumbled in from every direction and took on a rather dismal shade of gray.
They swiftly floated past each other, letting in small measly streaks of light,
Until finally colliding and sealing out any wandering strands of gold.
I often wondered if my mood reflected the ever-changing weather,
or perhaps it was the other way around.
The little hope I had left, diminished by cruel storms that seemed to make landfall at
just the right moments.
The rain drops that always followed felt more like bullets against my reddened cheeks
and the clouds in my head, just like in the sky, never seemed to clear.
I wasn't sure what obstacle I would have to face next,
but I did know that it had been gray for a long long time.
