That's right guys, more spin-off!!!
Before we move on to the rest of this story....Writing Unhinged has been therapeutic for me, you know, coping with the pandemic and everything but not only did it help get me through, it made me realize that there are a lot of stories to be told, stories I want to tell.
I've always wanted to be a professional writer, stick to the norms and stuff, write in a particular way but now I realized that the people who get the most out of life are those who do not limit themselves to unnecessary rules, that's why I've decided to do my thing as it comes to me and just write from my heart, because those are the stories that touch the most and I mean, what is the point of writing if you are not touching people and forming connections right? Even with the smallest of crowds.
Okay, enough personal growth bullshit. I've come up with some ideas for possible spin-offs for characters from both Bedding Bad and Unhinged.
Btw, if we do this, y'all have to help me come up with an official name for the series.
Here we go;
1) Janice:
In a very girl meets world fashion, Janice leaves Casville, her home for eighteen years to chase her passion in the city of dreams after managing to secure a spot in the prestigious All Dance academy. She hasn't been more focused on her dreams, none of which includes Camden Owen, All Dance sleekest man who always looks like he just walked out the gym but somehow manages to smell like her favorite ice-cream flavor.
Still nursing healing wounds and adjusting to her new life, Janice isn't going to let Camden ruin her plans with his calming eyes and killer moves.
2) Albert:
Albie was born fabulous as he likes to say but his life wasn't always so. With a childhood full of bullying, teen ages of being sexualized and taken as a joke, he never really had the rainbows he emitted.Casville is a shit town full of homophobes but at least his parents aren't here, making the place a little bearable until he meets Shawn, another boring townie with his tiny smiles and a knack for mixing up those drinks that always have Albert spilling his secrets.
This could be everything Albert always wanted, in the unlikeliest of places but with different dreams and clashing personalities, how far are they willing to compromise?
3) Katie:
Katie isn't the type of girl you notice, never has been. She isn't athletic, social or slutty. She isn't even that smart, having to work extra hard for everything.Keeping a guy is something she has failed at, too many times and now that college is over and her friends are all settled down with their partners, Katie realizes that she is going to end up alone and die in an old home if she doesn't do something, fast.
With a new job in a new city, she is going to create a new profile but what do men really want? Obviously it's not a hopeless romantic, with a huge stack of classic romance books and a closet full of granny pants.
4) Queenie:
Queenie is happy, her business is flourishing, her mom has been sober for years and her house is to die for but it's as empty as a highschool on Sunday. Her friends are making beautiful little babies but she can't and no matter how many times Drew says it's okay, she knows it's not and her mother-in-law agrees.
She is the problem, she is the reason Drew cannot have all those babies they talked about when she was a little younger and she can't live with that.
She has a plan to make it all better, for everyone and maybe give herself a chance to be happy with the only man she ever loved, even if it's for a week.
5) Trevor(because I just can't resist that Harden charm😌):
Trevor has lost touch with the world which is ironic, seeing as he spends all his time on the world wide web, watching, defrauding, blackmailing. It used to be to carter for his younger ones but with all of them gone, out of his control, he has lost purpose and can't seem to find the line that separates good from bad. He has forgotten the sound of his own voice, holed up in an empty duplex with occasional visitors.
Used to covering his tracks and leaving no traces, Trevor is impressed when someone finds him and gets interested in the workings of their mind, almost as much as they are in his. It's dangerous, he won't let his guard down but the best way to face a threat is head-on.
6) Kazeem:
Kazeem likes to live life to the fullest, balling. He never had to work hard, having a step-dad that made life easier for him.Ten years after graduating highschool and everyone has moved on, most of them don't even return his calls but it's all good.Casville is a lot better than it was five years ago with visitors round the year and enough women to go through.
He is fine, until the pretty TA rides into town, helping out at the local college and rejecting all his advances without batting a lash. She challenges him, his actions and decisions, opening his eyes to the possibility that he might not be as baller as he thinks he is.
Okay, that's it. Three characters from Bedding Bad and three from Unhinged.
Make an inline comment on the ones you'd like to see with a 👍 or anything to show your approval. You have until December to choose so I can add them to my 2021 calendar.
