"Ouuu who are we looking for today? Is it the mysterious guy you're fucking?!" Danielle blurted as she headed towards me. I groaned and faced her. Nothing but a smirk posted on her face as she wiggled her eyebrows to tease me even more.

"Tell the whole school why don't you?" I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes. She pouted, shaking my arm playfully. "Someone didn't get laid last night."

I smirked. "Actually, I did. All weekend."

She gasped. "No way! You spent the entire weekend
with him?! At his house?!" She whispered shouted.

"Mhm," I mumbled. "You slut!" She squealed.

"Only for him."

"When can I meet this mysterious guy who has you falling in love? I'm dying to know!" I cleared my throat awkwardly. "Love? Why would you think I'm in love with him? I mean I haven't known him that long."

"The way you talk about him. Ma'am he has your skin glowing, I mean look at you," she huffs and grabs my arm, mushing her hand against my skin. "Face it.
You're in love with this guy, Alona." She declared.

I stared at my feet. Was I in love with Levi? We hadn't even known each other that long. I've never even been in love before so how would I know if I were with him?

"Ugh, I can't believe you fell for a guy before letting me meet him. I didn't get to do my protective research!"

"You're wrong, Dani. I'm not in love."

"Mmm I won't take your word for it because getting to say I told you so will feel like such victory," she amused before walking away as the bell rang.

I glared at her.

I didn't know why what she said bothered me so much. I'm NOT in love with Levi. I can't love him, I'm not supposed to fall in love with him whatever that feels like.

Half of the day went by and Levi never showed. I found that odd considering he's new on the job and he never told me he would be out today. I tried texting and calling all day but go no response. It could've been an emergency for all he knew. I didn't get it.

But then I just assumed he was busy because it wouldn't be like Levi to not pick up a call from me. Right? The whole day felt weird.

I don't know what it is but all I know is that something just feels off. I didn't like it. I just wanted to be in his arms where everything somehow always seemed fine.

I just couldn't wait until school was over. I made plans to go to his house, just to make sure he was okay.

My current class is history and the teacher had us watching an educational movie with questions that completely passes before any of us could write them down. The bathroom was my only escape option.

As I headed down the hall, bathroom hall pass in hand, a figure that belonged to Donny appeared in front of me out of nowhere, scaring me shitless. Jerking back, I held my hand over my heart and decided to just put on a friendly smile. But that soon dropped as I noticed his hard facial expression. His eyes furrowed and lips flattened into a thin line as he searched my eyes.
