The second I stepped out of my end-of-the-day class, Eli welcomed me into his arms and squeezed me. He noticed I'd been upset all day and never asked about it because he knew I wouldn't say unless I was ready which will probably be never. All he had to do was be there when I needed him. "Ready to go home?"

I nodded and squeezed him tight as he led us outside with me still in his arms. I'd never been this upset in a long time, I almost forgot what it was like. Not even Danielle's crazy lovable humor could cheer me up.

My mindset couldn't focus on anything else but Donny and what he might do. It's my fault for being so touchy even when I was confident no one was around. Donny was smart. But he had no right to threaten the cops.

This wasn't his life and he had no right to interfere.

Donny's my friend... he wouldn't really do it.

Maybe if I explained to him my feelings for Levi, he would understand. Donny is a pretty understanding guy. Unless he's a hypocrite on the understanding part.

"Wait," I stopped in my tracks as we got to the car. "What's up?" I tossed my bag inside the backseat.

"I need to go talk to someone really fast. Could you wait?" Eli shrugged casually. "Be quick though, your mom asked to come over and help rearrange the living room and you know what she hates more then late people? Late black people," I almost chuckled.

It was true. That's what I'm never late to school.

"Yeah, sure," I sighed and walked back towards the school. I know Donny hadn't left school yet since his gaming club stays after school on certain days.

I ignored everything around me and headed straight to the technology lab. Knocking once figuring the door was locked, a few seconds later a slender tall guy with glasses opened the door. He looked shocked and taken aback by my presence and leaned, looking down both ends of the hallway."I-Is this a prank?" He gazed me up and down.

"Excuse me?" I arched my eyebrow high.

"You're a pretty girl wandering to the nerd station. Are you lost?" He reached down to my level of height, his hands on his knees. I scolded. "I don't consider you nerds and consider me lost again just because of my level of attractiveness and gender again, you won't see the light of day anymore," I said with a sarcastic grin.

"My respect is given."

"Hm, I didn't need it. I know my place, know yours. I'm here for Donny so don't waste any more of my time."

"I'm sorry did you say, Donny? As in Donny Wright? Nerd slash soccer player Donny?" He was taken aback again. I rolled my eyes and folded my arms.

"Unless there's some other Donny Wright I should know about then I must be in another dimension," I rolled my neck around, swaying back and forth out of boredom.

"How did he get a girl like you to come to him?"

"Are you going to let me in or am I going to have to force myself in?" He glanced in the room before sighing. "I can't."
