A Different Story; The Secret Circle

1. First Encounters

From a distance Evie and Diana watch as Faye and Melissa approach Cassie and before they walk away. As soon as that happens the twins go up to Cassie, "That's Faye." "Resident bad girl." 

Cassie turns to them gives them a smile and says, "Mmm... She's convincing." 

"Hi, I'm Diana." "And I'm Evie, we're twins." "I'm Cassie..." the blonde gets cut off by Diana "Cassie Blake. We know your grandmother." Evie adds, "It's a really small town.", the bell rings and Evie says, "We got to run," with Diana adding, "But everybody hands out at the boathouse after school. It's right on the waterfront. You can't miss it. So stop by, and we'll show you around." They make their way to class together leaving Cassie in her locker. 

Evie turns to her sister and tells her "She seems nice." with a small smile on their face they continue on their way.

That afternoon at the boathouse Cassie walks in and talks to both Adam and Ethan, Adam's dad. 

Once she sits down she talks to Adam for a couple of minutes, when he walks away Faye and Melissa walk in and sit with Cassie. "Adam's a hottie. You should make a play. You're totally his type." says Faye patronizingly. "Stop it Faye." scolds Melissa. "What? It's true.", the girl defends herself.

Ignoring her Melissa turns to Cassie and introduces herself, "I'm Melissa. Nice to meet you." "And I'm Faye Chamberlain." Cassie nods, "Yeah. We met, sort of." "Now it's official." 

Melissa changes the topic, "Hey. Sorry to hear about your mom." A little weirded out Cassie says "Thanks", butting in Faye asks "And your father? Where's he?" Answering the girl in front of her she says, "Well, he died just after I was born." "My father's dead, too. I still have my mother, though." "You probably met her. She's the principal." adds Melissa. Faye not being able to control herself adds, "Do not let her smile fool you. She can be bitchy." Cassie chuckles awkwardly. 

Faye turns her head and then looks at Cassie and asks her, "Adam's cute, don't you think? And he really does go for the sad, delicate types." Cassie a little annoyed, she tells her, "You know I'm not feeling all that delicate right now, so I think I'm gonna go. You two have fun." She proceeds to get up and walk out of the restaurant. 

She makes her way to her car as the two girls she was previously sitting with look at her through the window. Melissa comments, "I don't think she knows. Do you?" "I think she needs a nudge." 

Outside Cassie's car won't start, suddenly it starts smoking and her doors won't budge open. Out of nowhere the car catches on fire. Cassie starts to scream and call for help. Inside Faye murmurs to herself, "Come on, Cassie. Put it out. Put it out. Put it out." Adam  runs out to try and help Cassie, resulting in him putting out the fire with just looking at it. He gets her out and takes her away from the car asking if she's alright.

Not long after the incident, Cassie and Adam are sitting in the back of Adams' jeep and she says, "I just don't understand what happened." "Your car caught on fire." "Thanks for saving me." 

Diana and Evie arrive asking the blonde girl if she's okay, Evie asks, "What happened?", the twins are a little worried. Adam gets up and emphasizes his answer giving the brunette twins a look, "I think her engine blew." Cassie interrupts "No way. That was something else. You saw it." Evie turns to look up at the restaurants and spots Faye and Melissa exiting and gently taps the older twin on the arm to get her attention. 

"I'm gonna call my grandmother." continues the blonde. Diana reacts quickly telling her "Uh-- Uh, no, no. You shouldn't do that. Adam, why don't you take Cassie home?" 

Adam turns to the brunette and nods, Cassie declines, "No" "Oh, no, it's okay. This is my boyfriend, by the way. He's cool." Adam gives a small smile, "It's really not a problem. I'll take you." "I'll call you later." adds Diana while giving her boyfriend a kiss.
