A few days later, Diana told Adam about what Cassie had told them and he went to her house and confronted her about it. They got into a small argument and Adam told the blonde girl, "There is no room for Jake between us." and walked out leaving Cassie alone.
Not long after she was heading out of the house when there was a woman standing right outside the door. She introduced herself as Lucy, and said that she was there the night of the fire. They begin to have a conversation and suddenly she becomes really agitated and tells the teen girl that witch hunters were coming after her. Before the woman left she told Cassie where she was going to be staying.
At the same time Diana is at the boathouse looking for Adam, and the boy's dad asks her if she could help him throw a surprise party for Adam's birthday. She agrees but Adam hears about it and they settle for just a party with no surprise.
Meanwhile, Evie is hanging out with Melissa and telling her everything that she had missed. "So, you saw what happened that night?"
"I wish I hadn't. I haven't told Diana, I don't know how. It was really... awful. The thing is that I can't seem to be able to stop thinking about it. And then Cassie gets home and tells us that she dug up her father's grave. I just don't know when things got so complicated." the girls then get interrupted by Evie's phone, she looks at the screen and sees that Diana is the one calling, "Hello?"
"Evie, I need help." "Yeah, what is it?"
"Could you go buy some things to decorate the boathouse for Adam's birthday."
"Uh, yeah, sure. I'll go buy some stuff and I'll call you when I'm near, so that you can help me get them out of the car."
"Thank you, Evie. you are a lifesaver." "Yeah. I know. I'll see you later, bye.", and hangs up.
Melissa then asks "Diana?" "Yeah. There's going to be a party for Adam and she needs supplies. Do you want to come with me?"
"I told Faye I'd meet her." "That's okay. I'll see you later though, right?" Both girls then go their separate ways.

That afternoon Cassie is at the abandoned house with Jake. Both teens are trying to figure out the medallion that Cassie had found at the boat yard, however something goes wrong and the house begins to shake.
The blonde girl screams for Jake to run but she can't move, he rushes back to her and tackles her to the floor. Adam then walks in and sees them both on the floor.
Adam then walks out of the house but is followed by Cassie. They then start their second argument of the day, which ends with Cassie lying to him. Once she heads back inside she tells Jake that they are going to go and talk to Lucy.
At the boathouse Evie arrives with all the decorations and then Diana and her begin to set everything up for the party.
That night at the party both twins are walking around when they see Adam. Evie sees Diana's face and looks at her, "Go, I'll check on everything. Go it's okay."
