The following day at school Evie is standing by her locker with the school cheerleaders watching as everyone else walks around talking with their friends. She says bye to her teammates and then makes her way to class herself.

Meanwhile Faye is talking to Cassie, "She's been here for five minutes, don't torture the girl yet." "We're talking, Faye." says Sally who was walking next to Cassie.

"And I'm interrupting, Sally. That Sally Matthews talks more than I can listen. Look, I want to apologize for what happened on the dock with the storm, things got a little out of hand. I wanted to thank you for stopping it. With you here, our powers are magnified, and it's awesome, but we have to practice a little. Have Diana and Evie gotten to you yet about binding the circle?"

"Not yet." "Just say no. It's exactly what we don't want to do." "Why not." "It links us together, all six of us. We won't have individual power. It'll become a factious circle with control freak Diana as dictator, and I don't want someone telling me what to eat for lunch, much less what parade I can rain on, you know."

"No, I don't. I don't know you. I don't want to know you. And I don't want any part of this, so you need to leave me alone. Understand?" finalizes the conversation with Faye and walking away leaving her standing in the middle of the hallway alone.

As the bell rings Cassie walks into chemistry class when she sees almost everyone in the circle have the same class. Faye and Melissa are sitting together, Adam and Diana in another table, and Evie sitting with another girl she doesn't recognize, silently talking to a tall blonde boy sitting towards the back of the class. As she makes her way into the class the teacher begins to explain his rules. As everyone starts their experiments Faye and Melissa start to use their powers on their beaker. Next they use them on Cassie's beaker and she checks what is happening until she realizes that Faye is causing it to bubble. Faye then proceeds to make the blonde's beaker explode, to retaliate Cassie lights theirs on fire and makes it explode as well. Cassie, shocked by what she did, runs out of the class, with Adam following after her. Evie then turns to look at her twin questionably.

At the abandoned house Adam explains everything to Cassie. And back at the school Faye and Melissa are making their way out of school when the twins jog up to them. "Hey" "Guys, what happened?" questioned Melissa.

"Adam took the blame. He said he mixed the chemicals wrong and miscalculated the chloride." "And Mr. Herman believed him?"

Evie then answers, "He couldn't explain it any better. Faye, we got lucky. No one was hurt. Now when are you going to get it through your head? We have to bind the circle." "Have fun." was her answer as she walked away.

The twins simultaneously say to Melissa, "Can't you talk to her?", turning towards Faye, Melissa says, "Maybe we should bind it. I don't like all this stray energy floating around." "No. Not if it means we'll be linked. I don't want you to have a say in what I do. I don't want you to control me." answers Faye as she comes to a stop.
