The following day Diana, Evie and Adam show up at Cassie's front door. Diana and Evie can't help but keep looking around, Adam asks if they're okay and Diana answers for both of them, "Last time we were here we got drugged, kidnapped and almost killed." "I can take you home--" "No. we're okay."
Cassie opens the door, "Hey."
Evie asks, "Is your grandmother home yet?", while they walk inside. "No. I've tried calling her cell, but nothing. Everyone else is here, though."
Faye says, "Everyone except Melissa. Her mom's been worried about her since Nick died. Took her out of town for a while."
"Maybe it'll be good for her." said Evie, giving the Chamberlain girl a tiny smile.
When they walk into the kitchen, they see Jake and Adam is the first to speak, "Who invited Jake?" Cassie shrugs, "Well, he's a part of the circle. Jake was attacked just like the rest of us."
Diana speaks up, "I keep feeling like the witch hunters are going to come after us again." "I don't think so. At the shipyard, I heard them say they were leaving town."
Jake shakes his head, "They didn't seem like the type to give up easily. If they wanted us dead, wouldn't they just come back and try again?"
Faye tells Adam, "Maybe they got scared off by your good friend Luke getting torched." Evie speaks up, "Did anybody see what happened to him?"
Cassie, a little nervously, says "I think it had to do with me. When he was about to kill you, I--I yelled out, and the bottle broke, and it just- it felt like I had done it." "But we were surrounded by iron and sulfur. The circle couldn't do magic. We- we tried."
Faye speaks up again, "She wasn't talking about the circle. You did magic by yourself?" "It seemed like it." "Has that happened to anybody else since you bound the circle?", asked Jake,
Faye sassily says, "I wouldn't be here if I could do magic by myself." "This is amazing." adds Diana.
Cassie continues, "Jake says it's possible to learn individual magic."
Faye interrupts, "Jake says? Since when are you in a 'Jake says' place?" "I've tried to do small spells since, but nothing works." "Like setting more classmates on fire?" "Faye--" Faye starts to tell Cassie it was all her fault, but the blonde interrupts by showing them what Calvin had dropped off.
Adam, Diana and Jake move towards the blonde with Faye staying on the side annoyed and Evie is still looking outside at the surroundings. Diana speaks up, "I've never seen anything like these symbols before. Evie, can you take a look at it?", the younger twin doesn't listen, being too busy looking outside, until she calls again, "Evie?!"
A little startled she turns around, "Sorry. Yeah, let me see.''
Meanwhile, Adam is asking what the initials mean. Evie ignores their conversation while she looks at the old papers. Evie is still looking at the papers when Diana tells her what they had decided.
