Chapter 13: Forgiveness

Haroka stood up to the face the meeting he had but partially caused, it was a meeting that told and would foretell the PrideLands future

"Well then let's go" he said calling Fuli and kion not wanting to face this humiliating task alone

"Alright" Kion said

Simba's Pride, The Lion Guard and Jasiri's clan were mounted at their battle stations preparing for the 3 animals return that would foretell the fate of the war

The cheetahs although felt hugely awkward still kept a firm formation not wanting to be the weak part of the war

Immediately the 3 animals all expected to see came and as they walked their faces were not with smiles or frowns but with firm faces therefore giving everyone a zero expectation from anyone of them

"King Simba?"

"Yes, Haroka" He answered trying to keep his guard in case of a surprise attack

"Pls forgive me and all of us for all the terrible things we have done, we have done many things worthy of death yet we still stand before you, pls forgive me especially for betraying you when we could have a coalition and solve the problem better, We, I and Fuli acted so foolishly when we did all this so pls find a place in your heart to forgive not just us but all the people that try to do what we did"

Zira who was standing amidst Simba and the other Lionesses was filled with remorse for what Haroka said but she had to hold those feelings to herself because Simba was about to speak

"Haroka for all the terrible things you have done and for all the pain you have caused us, you clearly deserve more than death" Everyone was waiting for the painful downfall of punishments that Simba would speak and they knew that whatever Simba said next would be their punishment

"But none of that is compared to how happy we all are to have you back on our sides" As Simba said that an instant jubilation could be heard, they celebrated throughout the whole Pride Lands jubilating for the uniting of the two kingdoms

The Next Day Simba called a gathering to inform the animals of all that happened and although they were surprised at Fuli's betrayal, the taking over the Kingdom and all that the cheetahs had done but they were more than happy that they were back to their side

After the gathering Simba was at Pride Rock resting trying to take in what just happened throughout the day but his plans were cut short by an unusual visit

"Hey dad" Kion said nervously because of everything that had gone through between the both of them during the past few days

"Oh, hey son"

"Dad, I know we haven't been in the best of terms together but this isn't how it should be between us"

"Kion, I have thought about that and I think that I was a little rushed about cancelling your betrothal with Fuli, I hope you could forgive me for that"

"Thanks dad" he said before giving his dad a hug

"But Kion although I cancelled your betrothal, you could still ask for her hand in marriage"

"Do you mean I should propose to her"

"Of course and let me give you tips, that's how I proposed to your mom" he said giving Kion a mischievous wink

"You" Kion said as he leaned at him to hear his romantic scheme

Meanwhile at the Lair

Bunga, Beshte and Ono were sitting in the lair being bored but although that they still had some reason to be happy and sad at the same time but much had to do with Fuli and how she betrayed them and how she asked for the forgiveness of the entire Pride Lands which they all accepted but it still wasn't enough to bring back the bond that they shared

"Bunga"

"What" replied Bunga which was a very unusual thing for Bunga to say especially to Fuli but everyone wasn't surprised thanks to what happened

"Guy's I know I haven't been the best teammate to you mostly by betraying you, but I promise that it won't happen again"

No answer 😮

"Guy's forgive me for everything" Fuli spoke now with tears in her eyes she never knew how important they were in her life

"I know that since we became friends I always wanted to be alone but pls I need you guy's as my teammates my friends and my family"

Those words were enough to bring tears into the 3's eyes as they grabbed fuli and hugged her the tightest in their lives

"And Bunga, pls promise me that you won't stop bugging me"

"Sure thing" he said before he continued their embrace

"Hey I think i have something to fix with ekan, bye guy's" said Beshte

"Bye" they responded cheerfully

In the float Ekan was sadder than ever, he hadn't seen his father face to face in days

"Hey Kan"

"Oh hey Dad"

"Son, I know I haven't been with you most of the time like I promised but let's start it now Beshte and Ekan's 3 days of fun, I'll tell Kion to give me 3 days off"

"Really dad"

"Yes"

"But promise me you won't change your mind"

"I promise"

He said before the both of them embraced
