Tanjiro Kamado x Fem!reader

Part 8

You guys reached the drum house, the place that you were supposed to go. When you guys got over there, you saw two children hugging each other, crying.

You and Tanjirou ran up to them in concern.
"Hey there, are you okay?" They looked up to you, sniffling, and their eyes  full of tears.

"Our brother.. he's inside of there! With a demon!!"

Oh hell no.

Tanjirou kneeled down to them, giving them reassurance.
"Don't worry! Me and (y/n) will get your brother out of there, alright?" Their moods lightened up a bit.

"O-okay!"
You got Asuno off your back, and placed her next to the two kids.
"Asuno, may you do me a favor and make sure that they don't get hurt?" She nodded, and helped them calm down.

"Don't worry! My sister is crazy strong, she'll get your brother out of there in no time!" That flattered you and gave you confidence.

You and Tanjirou headed inside the drum house, and felt something turn.

"(Y/n), watch out! The room is about to turn!"

W-what?- turn? Was this even earth anymore?

You flinched and panically grabbed Tanjiro's hand. Tanjiro's face turned red, making yours heat up too.

"S-sorry Tanjiro- I didn't know how to reac-"
He cut you off.
"Don't worry, (y/n)." He pulled you closer because you were both about to hit the ground, hoping to not get separated.

When you opened your eyes, your face was directly in front of his. "S-so close-" you thought. His arm was wrapped around your back, securing you from falling out of his hands. Embarrassment rushed up to both of your faces, only getting closer every time the room rotated.

"(Y/n), I think I noticed a pattern here." Tanjiro suspected something.

"Oh, what is it?" You guys really needed some help here, so it would be nice to hear what he has to say.

"Every four rotations, the room rotates the same way it did before. For example:

First rotation: Left, up, right, down.
Second rotation: down, up, right, left.
Third rotation: right, down, up, down.
Fourth rotation: up, right, up, right.

"Now that we notice this pattern, it will be easier to calculate where to go. Got it?"

"Alright!" Wow, not even you could remember that.

"Remember where and when to jump!" He grabbed your hand whilst jumping, Incase one of you fell.

"Now!" He called, and both of you fell into a room that wasn't rotating for some reason. You fell on top of each other, only causing you to blush even more.

"Eeee, I'm sorry (y/n)-" his face was practically a tomato at this point. It was cute.

"Nono it's fine! It comforts me knowing that I have someone here with me." You both got up, dusting your clothes off. You decided to relax for a couple of seconds, until this guy with a boar mask came barging in.

"UAGAAAAAHAAAAAHHHHHHH!!" Oh my god-

He suddenly kicked you down, and placed his foot on your face.

"UAAGAGAAHHAHA!!!" He acted like he was the god of this place or something.

"H-hey!! Could you not?!" You tried dragging his foot off, but he wouldn't budge. Tanjiro stepped in.

"Get your dirty feet off of her!" He took his leg, and threw him across the room. Phew.

"Thank you so much, Tanjiro." You let out a breath. "Of course! We should keep going now, before somebody gets hurt." He grabbed your hand, traveling to the next room.

"This pattern might be different, so be careful!" You nodded, put them immediately gasped when you heard a.. demon?- a demon was behind this?

"I see you've caught up to my tricks, eh?" He let out. He had drums covering portions of his body, and papers laid out on the floor. Tanjirou pulled you closer (a bit too close( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) and whispered to you.

"(Y/n), don't step on the papers. I don't have time to explain why." You were confused, but still went along with it.

"Let's see if you can stand this.."
The demon hit the drums as fast as he possibly could, leaving you in extreme worry.

It went so fast, Tanjiro lost grip of your hand and fell. "TANJIRO!!" You called out. He was falling towards the papers.

"I have to do something!!" You thought. Before Tanjiro hit the ground, you pushed him out of the way, sacrificing your life. He got ahold of the wall, reaching his hand out as far as he could.

"(Y/N)!! GRAB MY HAND!!" You immediately reached your hand out, and he clutched it right before your foot made contact with the papers.

"Oh my god.. we're alive!" You squealed. "All thanks to you, (y/n)!"

"Now, we have to do something quick. The room will only continue to be a never ending nightmare if we just stand here." You said to Tanjiro, who nodded.

For some reason, the rooms rotating slowed down. The demon was hitting the drums pretty fast I must say, but the room wasn't rotating itself. There was no time to think now though, I had to act while I had time.

Swaying sunrise!

"Aurgh-!! What is this terrible feeling?!" The demon called out once again.

You tried cutting his neck off, but the room rotated before you could. You fell on the opposing wall, leaving Tanjirou up to it.

"Water breathing, 2nd form.."

"Water wheel!"

Tanjiro charged at the demon, watching the water glide along his sword. He was able to get close to the demon, and even cut through his neck!

"Oh my god, Tanjiro you did it! Way to go!!"

He smiled, and grabbed your arm. "Now let's find their brother!"

You guys traveled through a couple rooms, and heard crying. "That must be him," you both thought. You followed the noises, and at last found the room.

"Hey there!! Are you okay?" You said, running up to the boy. He seemed relieved seeing the faces of demon slayers, and stopped crying. You and Tanjirou led him out of the house, bringing him to his siblings.

"Thank you so much, I can't thank you enough!" The girl said. It seemed like the guy was dealing with Zenitsu. I should've expected that.
