Part 12

Your POV

You wake up to find yourself sitting in someone's lap, slowly opening your eyes to discover that it was Tanjiro. He had his head rested against yours, covering the wound on your hand making your hands meet. It felt so comfortable, you didn't want to move.

"Hey, (y/n)! I see that you're awake now." He said, pasting a smile on his face. It got you every time, you always found it so precious.

"O-oh, hey, Tanjiro!" You said, slightly blushing. His head was so close to yours.

"We should go back now, someone called a firefighter to put out the fire so we're safe." He stood up, reaching a hand out to help you. You took his hand, but it was still so hard to keep your balance that you fell back on him. He caught you, making you blush.
"I see it's still hard for you to walk.. sorry this is out of the ordinary, but.. why don't I, uh- c-carry you?"

Andddd like always, both of your faces heated up from awkwardness. "I-it's okay if you don't want to, o-of course." He said, trying to cover the pink on his face.

"W-well if you insist.. I could use some help here, eheh-" And from there, he picked you up and held you in his arms. He walked back to where the fire was, to find out that it was put out. Asuno ran up to you and Tanjiro, giving you a smirk. You pretended not to notice, but Tanjiro did. Oh lord.

You decided to rest your eyes a bit, so you closed them and leaned your head over Tanjiro's chest. Zenitsu ran up to the both of you, pointing at Tanjirou.

"YOUUU!!! YOU GET EVERY GIRL YOU WANT, DON'T YOU?! LET ME HOLD (Y/N) CHANN!! OR NEZUKO CHANNN!!!" It was getting dark, but I don't think Nezuko would want to go through another torture of being chased, or something similar.

"Zenitsu, please calm down- I will let Nezuko out if you do so." You could hear Nezuko in the box, making cute little noises. "Hmm!! Hmmph!!"

"Okay, Nezuko, I'll let you out now! Zenitsu, could you open the box without scaring her, please.." Zenitsu ran over to Tanjiro, opening the box with heart eyes waiting for her to crawl out. "Nezuko channn!" He chanted, while Nezuko got out of the box and slowly got bigger.

"Hmm!" She walked up to him, giving a pat on his head and hugging him. This was so cute to watch. Zenitsu started fangirling, hugging her back. It seems Tanjiro was pleased to see them get along, but was still the same protective big brother he was.

Inosuke and Asuno just stood there disgusted, and fought with each other to entertain themselves. You knew that they would be best friends, haha.

Tanjiro kept carrying, and it looked like he didn't want to let go of you. Oh well, you didn't really mind anyway- but why?

Okay, maybe you did like him- but don't tell Asuno, she'll mock you and tell the whole world. Duh.

"Guys, let's go find somewhere to sleep." Zenitsu said, pointing at a hotel right after. It was in the city, but it was pretty little because it was a small town. It had 2 rooms, containing five beds. But there was a problem - there were six of you including:
Tanjiro Kamado!
Nezuko Kamado!
Zenitsu Agatsuma!
Inosuke Hashibira!
(Y/n) (L/n)!
Asuno (l/n)!

Hahah oh shit-

You only found this out when you entered the building, not sure what to do. You had already payed the lady behind the counter before you knew, so this was your fault. Just great.

"Maybe the couple over here will have to share-?" She looked towards both you and Tanjirou. It wasn't very obvious that she wouldn't think that, because he was still holding you-

"O-oh we aren't a thing-!" Tanjiro said, slightly disappointing you. Zenitsu thought he would take the place.
"What about me and Nezuko ch-" Tanjiro slowly cocked his head facing Zenitsu, giving him a death stare. "No." Zenitsu backed off, shaking. You've never seen Tanjiro act so protective before-

"I'm sorry this is my fault, I'll sleep on the floor!!-" you said aloud, but it clearly wasn't safe for you because your leg was badly injured.

"But (y/n), your leg! The infection could get worse if you don't sleep comfortably." Tanjiro looked so concerned for you, you almost felt bad.

"That's right." The lady said. "I don't have much money, but you can have a refund I guess." She was about to hand you your money back, but Tanjiro declined the offer. "No, it's fine!! We can stay here if you don't have a lot. Besides, we don't have anywhere else to rest!" Tanjiro was way too kind, it warmed your heart up.

"Oh, well if you insist." She led you guys to the rooms, leaving you, Tanjiro, and Nezuko in one, And led the rest to the other. You felt bad for Asuno, she would have to deal with yelling and crying. Hopefully they would get along.

Nezuko rolled herself up in the blanket of one bed, it was so adorable. You loved her, she was so sweet and endearing. She warmed up to you very quickly, you could understand her well.

"Tanjiro. I'll sleep on the floor. It's fine."

"No, no, please. I insist, your poor leg needs to rest."

"My leg will be fine. You deserve it more."

"Ladies first."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"Why don't we just sleep in the same one goddamnit-" He gave up trying to convince you, it was always easy to do that.

"o-oOH-" You stammered, your face heating up. "W-well I guEss.." it was so hard to talk normally, it was out of the blue for Tanjiro to suggest something like that. I guess it was because he was comfortable around you. Huh.

You went and dressed into comfortable clothing, walking back into your room. You crawled into the bed next to Tanjiro, facing him.

"(Y/n), I'm sorry.." he said to you.

"Oh! W-why are you sorry?" The last thing you wanted was for him to feel concerned for you, but he did it all the time anyway.

"If I would've made it out of the house faster, you wouldn't have to suffer as much. Your leg is terribly injured, that burn isn't something to ignore y'know." Oh nooo. Your leg is fine, and now he feels guilty for it!

"W-what?! Nonoooo it's fine! It's not your fault, it's more over my fault for not being careful!" Aackk. You felt so bad.

"Ah well.. I hope you feel better soon (y/n)." He smiled at you, falling asleep.
