Part 13

"Head to the mountain!! Mountain!! Head to the mountain!!" You had just gotten up, all dressed and ready. Honestly, what were you supposed to expect at this point? This thing was going to follow you most of your journey, you might as well get used to it.
It flew down at you, pecking you again. Ughhhh.

The others walked out of the house all safe and sound, watching the owl peck at you. "Hey there, that isn't nice!" Tanjirou stepped in, removing the bird from your arm and setting it in the air. "Haha.. thanks, Tanjiro."

"No problem! Is your leg okay now?"

"It's good as new!"

"Ah, well I'm glad!"

You could actually walk on it now, it healed pretty quickly.
"Anyways, we should probably head to the mountain. We have to be there by night, so we have a lot of time." The others nodded, pumping their fist up.

"Hey (y/n), your style is Star breathing correct?" Tanjiro wanted to start a conversation, so you just went with it.

"Oh, yeah! I learned the rubric from my brother from his spare notes he wrote before he died, haha!He told me he made it himself, I wish I would've asked him more about it. He was very smart with breathing styles and stuff." You missed your brother dearly, although now wasn't the time to be upset about it. He did write more Star breathing styles on the paper, though you don't think you were prepared to learn them yet. There were fifteen forms, but you only knew five at the moment.

"Wait- really?! That's so cool!" Tanjirou was amazed, it's very hard to come up with your own breathing style because you have to calculate every little mistake, making sure you get it right the next time. You didn't realize how intelligent Hiroto was until you found all of his things, including the notes for his custom breathing styles. You actually took his notes with you, but you haven't told Asuno about the rest of her breathing styles yet. You were planning to when she got her sword from Shinobu, so that she wouldn't be hoarding yours.

"Do you have the notes?"

"Oh yeah I do! Please don't tell Asuno though-"

"I won't! Do you mind if I have a look?"

"Of course! Lemme just get them-"

You pulled out the notes, discovering a new page stuck to one of them. You gently pulled it off, leaving no rip from the paper.
"So we have Star breathing, Sakura breathing, and.. Musical breathing? But wait- I haven't seen this one before. How strange.." The page you just now discovered was musical breathing. Sadly there were only five forms, but they did seem pretty strong. Not one form was simple to do at all, the paper thoroughly explained how to do each form word by word. "This must be one of Hiroto's greatest pieces.." you thought to yourself, reading it all. It was very hard to understand it at first, but you soon got the hang of it.
"Hey Tanjirou! Come look at this one!" You showed him the paper of musical breathing, and he carefully took it out of your hands making sure not to rip it.

"Wow, (y/n)! This is very impressive, your brother is a very smart man.." he was so concentrated in reading it, you were thankful that you had found these.

"Wait a minute, this form is so strong.." it was the 3rd form of musical breathing.

Lacing lullaby

This form puts the target to sleep with a lovely lullaby. It leaves a thread around the targets neck, loosening the limb making it easy to cut through like ripping paper. This form isn't too difficult to pull off, although it might cause severe exhaustion.

"That.. is.. AMAZING!! We have to try that." Tanjiro looked so hyped up, but it wouldn't be a smart idea to do it right now because of the drawback.

"Yeah! Maybe another time though hah, we don't want to be tired on our mission!" You then looked at your other breathing styles, and one caught your eye. How did I not see this before?!

11th form - Seizing Starbeam

This form leaves a toxin inside the targets body that slowly disintegrates their insides, leaving their vision flash rapidly as bright as a laser. This does not help out with cutting any limbs, although it does give you some time to do so.

"I might just actually learn this!" You looked at the paper, your eyes as bright as daylight. Tanjiro looked at it, feeling stunned.
