Part 10

Both of you got up, going into separate rooms to change into your uniforms.

"Asuno, time to get up!" You shook her awake, but she didn't get up.
"Wake up or I'll drag you-"
"Okayyy fineeee!" She got up, going into a bathroom to change her clothes.
"Okay, is everyone ready?" You said, getting a yes from everyone except for Inosuke. Probably because of how jerky and immature he was.

You went outside in a calm manner, until that completely changed when your owl came down to you and so did Tanjiro's crow. What is it with birds poking at your hair?!-

"Head west!! Head west!! I repeat!! Head west!"

"I heard you the first time." You thought, getting annoyed at the birds that wouldn't get off you. You had to shoo them off again. Seriously, would they ever leave you alone-

You went that direction, not noticing anything until Tanjiro pointed it out.

"(Y/n).. I smell something burning."
Wow, he sure did have a great sense of smell, because you didn't notice it until you had walked a couple yards closer.
"Wait, Tanjiro! Look ahead!"
What you had saw was completely unexpected. It was a fire, a big one. It seems like someone poured gasoline around a small house, and threw a flame on it. You saw small children inside, about the ages 3-5.

"We have to save them!! They're only children!" You and the others ran up to the burning house, suspecting what could have happened. Even worse, you were in a city, so someone such as a demon could have caused this mess.

"I- it's him again!" Tanjiro called out, sensing something. He followed the scent, causing you to run after him. "H-hey wait up-!" He was running really fast, causing you to almost trip.

He was looking up to a man that literally looked like a clone of Michael Jackson. (I'm sorry I had to-)

"You.. you're the root of all evil!" Tanjirou snapped at him, leaving you in shock. The guy looked like an innocent man, until you caught him do something with your very own eyes.
"Excuse me sir, I'm not sure I understand you." He said, quickly swiping a human while he had the chance.
"YOU!! I SAW THAT!!" This really pissed you off, because everyone else around here believed he was a normal "human", except for Tanjiro.

The boy that he swiped immediately stared growling, and went for you. Why me?!

He knocked you to the ground, trying to bite you. You instantly took your sword out and shoved it in his mouth, preventing him from injuring your body. You had mercy for the poor boy, it must have been terrible for anyone to suffer such pain and hunger.

"This isn't you!" You called out, trying to convince him. "Please, hang on in there! Just a little more! You're being controlled, please listen! I know it must be very hard to survive such starvation, but you have people out there that care for you, even waiting for you to come back home.." The boy started crying in realization, while Tanjiro looked like he had a flashback. He did have to save Nezuko, maybe that's why..

The young man got up, apologizing. Everyone looked at him in disgust, which made you feel guilty for demons like him. Some people tried attacking him even.

"You! Run away, try to stay undercover as long as you can!" The boy nodded, but seemed concerned for you and Tanjiro.

"B-but.. if the Hashira find out, won't you and your uh.. boyfriend? Get in trouble or possibly even arrested..?"

Both you and Tanjiro's face turned red at the same exact time, like two peas in a pod. B-boyfriend?!-

"uHM- uH- don't w-worry just go!!" He immediately ran off, sprinting for his life. It was now time to deal with him.

"You bastard, do you not realize how horrible you are?!" Muzan just stood there, pretending to look confused. You were fuming, he couldn't get away with this!

Tanjiro rested a hand on your shoulder, seeming disappointed. "(Y/n), I'm sorry but.. we can't get him this time. Too many people are suspicious of us now, it's best if we go save the children in the fire." You gave him a confident look, telling him that we could nail this. Both of you ran back to find Asuno crying and Zenitsu actually doing something.

"Asuno! Are you alright?!" You asked in concern, and she looked up at you in relief that her role model was finally there. "A-a lot of them died already.."
