Eren knew much more than he let on. He knew that his idolized Heichou was eyeing his girl. He might be ranked higher than he was but there was definitely no way he was going to allow him to lay a finger on her. Sure, he might be the Hope of Humanity, but if he was planning on doing something to take her away from him. He would definitely kill him. He'd be damned if he let anyone take her away from him. He asked Erwin, secretly, to make sure she was to be with him at all times. Or he would refuse to cooperate. 

"Eren?" 

"Huh?" 

"Hello," you wave a hand in front of his face, "the stables aren't going to clean themselves." 

"Yeah." 

"You've been spacing out quite a lot lately, is there something wrong?" 

"It's nothing, (Name)." 

You glance at him, uncertain, but you don't press him. You're irritated at him not trusting you but you don't say a thing. You continue cleaning the stables but stop when you feel his arms wrap around you. 

"Don't worry about me, (Name)." 

"Eren..." 

"You should worry about yourself more." 

You blush, push him away and trip by accident. Real smooth. But during your oh so graceful fall, your hand accidentally grazes a nail.

"Ouch!" You glance at your rather small cut, blood had begun to seep out, "we should ask someone to take care of that."

Eren takes hold of your hand, inspecting your injury. "It isn't too serious but we really should disinfect this." 

"Yeah."

Suddenly, a wicked thought forms in Eren's mind and before you're able to register anything. He's disinfecting your wound using all natural Eren, he's sucking the blood out of your cut. Damn your smexy ass boyfriend. 

"Ew! Gross!" So you said but you actually enjoyed this. (Tsun, tsun, tsun~) 

There's something different that Eren feels though. Your blood, the taste of your flesh. It was oh so appetizing. (And thus the first Ghoul) A jolt runs up his spine and he's lapping up the blood with a passion. 

"E-Eren?" 

He glances at you and you shiver at the look in his eyes.

God.

It was exactly like the way a Titan would look at you.  

 "Delicious."
