"She's a really good girl and she graduated 10th! She tied with one of the trainees!"

"You've said that a shit ton of times already, Petra," Levi pointed out.

"I know," she giggles, "but I can't help it, I'm just so excited."

"What's so exciting about that?"

"I don't know it just is."

"You've been singing praises about this sister of yours, what if she decides to just bail on the Survey Corps?"

"She would never!"

"She's 10th and that means she's got a chance to get into the Military Police and live a safe life."

"Well, she promised to go here."

"Promises are easily broken."

"Her boyfriend was planning on going here too."

"So that's why," he chuckles, "hilarious."

"What is?"

"Love, he probably just wants a good fuck out of your sister, I'd keep an eye and an ear out for it, Petra."

Levi first met her in Trost. She's about to fall after he kills a Titan that's about to kill her and he manages to catch her. She looks up at him, adoration in her shiny (eye color) orbs. Levi didn't believe in love, he didn't believe in caring for other people. He didn't want to anymore. After Farlan and Isabel, he never wanted to feel the dread he experienced after their death, but with you. It was different.

"Heichou, have you ever heard the term 'Love at first sight'?" Petra is looking at him, expectantly waiting for his answer.

"No," came his blunt reply. "That's probably just a man wanting to get into a woman's pants faster."

"It's different!"

"Well, then would you mind explaining the difference to me?"

"W-well," Petra is blushing, "it's when you meet their eyes, when you see them there's this feeling that takes hold of you. That even though you might lose them, you'd do everything you could to keep that from happening. You'd do anything to keep them safe, to protect their smile, to be happy together."

"That's wishful thinking."

"I understand what you mean, Petra."

He'd do anything for you, you know that right?
