You belong to Gryffindor—how amazing! As a talented Quidditch player, you often find yourself in spirited debates with Oliver Wood about the best strategies for the game. Despite these occasional disagreements and different perspectives, a strong friendship flourishes between you and Oliver, built on mutual respect and a shared passion for the sport.
"Y/n, listen to me for once. This play is gonna guarantee us to win," Oliver Debated
"Yes, and that's great, but there's just one little problem," You reply to Oliver
"And what might that be, y/n," Oliver says sarcastically, expecting some kind of clever remark.
"Your play can't guarantee us a win because it's not good enough," you say confidently.
Oliver rolls his eyes
"Do you have a better play then since you are so smart?" He replies, looking toward you waiting for whatever "brilliant" plan you have in mind.
"Uhm, of course, I do. I have been thinking up good plays since I joined Quidditch. It puzzles me how we both joined at the same time but made you the captain." Oliver rolls his eyes, already knowing you're going to continue on about how good you are.
you continue, "Truly, it really does boggle my mind. You're a great Quidditch player, of course and you are a good captain. You lead us to victory a lot, butttttt I think both of us, captain.... or just me we would be better off don't you?" You release your thoughts, being very frank about everything.
"I can't exactly say I agree with you on that, and I also can't tell if you're fully serious, but thanks to the few nice parts you had to say about me, I would love to hear this great plan of yours that would lead us to victory." He says he's not too fond of your speech, although he was used to it. You're so straightforward and share just about every little thought you have and opinion.
"Excellent we will talk about it at dinner?" You say in question
"Perfect," He says you walk off to go back to your room to change out of your Quidditch clothes to get ready for dinner to share your plans with Oliver.
At dinner, you explained a great play for Quidditch and Oliver didn't hate it either.
"Y/n I don't want to make your ego grow any bigger than it already is, but your plan isn't horrible, and it might just work if we make a few minor changes," Oliver says with a thinking face, his elbow in the table, and hands up by his chin.
"Really? It's great to hear you're willing to step down from your pride and actually hear me and consider my good plans. Also, my ego isn't big, but my brain and determination are strong. There's a difference, genius." You say you enjoyed his consideration.
"Okay, excuse me, Miss Big Brains. We will go over the play with some changes at practice," he says, rolling his eyes at you.
You and Oliver moved on to talk about other things when a boy approached you from behind.
"Excuse me," The boy said. You turned around to face him.
"Yes?" You asked listening to what he wanted.
"Ryan Christensen is head of Hufflepuff House and one of the best-looking people here." He states that he is rather fond of himself and maybe a little too proud.
"Okay, good for you?" you said, laughing, confused, slightly turning back around to Oliver, who was also giggling in confusion.
"You have caught my eye; you're very different, and I want to do you the honor of going on a date with me. I will take you somewhere expensive and buy you expensive things, " he states.
