13.2. Work Study

Time skip to Friday

Next day after fight with Mirio we had normal schoolday, but Aizawa told us that teachers will have meeting about work studies for us 1st years. Now all of us were sitting in our classroom when Aizawa finally came for homeroom class.

1-A: Good morning Mr. Aizawa.

Aizawa: Morning, I am sure you are all waiting for me to tell you about our meeting yesterday. All of us teachers agreed on compromise, so you can participate in work studies, however you must choose only those who have approved track record. Otherwise, you won't take part.

1-A: Hurray!

Izuku: (So only approved agencies huh? I could try Woods, but even if he on list, it would probably made difficulties in my school life if I had to go back to Hosu. I need to find somebody who works here in Musutafu and is approved by school. This will be tough.)

Time skip to afternoon

After our homeroom we had normal classes like always. Me, Shizumi, Iida and Uraraka were on our way to cafeteria when suddenly we bumped into AllMight.

AllMight: Ah, young Midoriya. I was looking for you.

Izuku: Me?

I was abit confused about this, but I snapped out of it when I felt Shizumi's death glare aimed at AllMight. I've totally forgot to tell her I forgiven him, so she was still getting furious when she saw him. I took Shizumi's hand to signal her it's allright, which seemed to calm her down.

Shizumi: What do you want with him?

AllMight: There is something I want us to talk about. Do you have time to spare?

Izuku: Yeah, you guys go ahead. I'll see you later.

Others: Ok, bye.

AllMight: Follow me

I followed AllMight to teachers lounge where we sat alone on sofa facing eachother.

Izuku: So, what do you want to talk about?

AllMight: I heard Aizawa already told you about our decision about work studies for you 1st years right?

Izuku: Yes, it will be tough to find somebody who would met requirements tho. But what does this have to do with you?

AllMight: As you just said, it would be tough to find somebody meeting requirements, so I got idea. What would you say about doing your work study with me?

Izuku: Wait what? But can even teacher participate in study work?

AllMight: I asked Nezu and he said it's fine. We teachers are permitted to do work studies, but only if we are competent. That means that more busy teachers like Aizawa aren't permitted, but I am here basically only for occasional combat training, so there is no problem for me.

Izuku: I see (So that's how it is. Well, this solves my problem well, I get to work with no.1 hero and I don't have to pointlessly look around for competent agencies. Well lucky me!) Then I accept AllMight.

AllMight: I am glad, but I am suprised you didn't hasitated that much.

Izuku: I already told you that I forgive you our past and that's it. I want to learn as much as I can, so I would have to be total idiot to turn down no.1 hero.

AllMight: Very well, now all you have to do is give me your application form in next few days and we will be good to go.

Izuku: I understand, thank you AllMight.

AllMight: No problem kid, now go, your friends must be worried about you.

Izuku: Ofcourse, see ya later AllMight. (Even if I still feel shred of hatered towards you, I can see you are trying to be better person AllMight. Maybe I will never look at you as good father figure, but atleast you can still show me good no.1 hero.)

Time skip 1 week

Next day I gave AllMight my form to make my work study official. Others looked kinda jealous that I got an offer from no.1 hero for work study, but I still saw Shizumi angry abit. I told her about my decision to forgive AllMight and that she doesn't have to be angry in my place. It was kinda hectic in next days since only Tokoyami, Uraraka, Asui and Kirishima found themselves agencies.

Anyways now was Saturday morning and I was waiting in my hero costume for AllMight at adress we agreed on. After 2 minutes of waiting he also arrived.

AllMight: Good morning young Midoriya, are you ready?

Izuku: Ofcourse I am, what are we going to do?

AllMight: Straight to the point I see. I figured that since you have your licence, you would like some real action correct?

Izuku: Yes

AllMight: Good, I belive you heard about Shie Hassaikai right?

Izuku: I heard that name, but I can't say I know who they are.

AllMight: It's small criminal syndicat, and this man...

AllMight: That is Kai Chisaki alias Overhaul. He is second in command of that group.

Izuku: I thought that organized crime wasn't really problem these days since police knows who they are and is monitoring their movements and those bigger groups broke up.

AllMight: That's true, but it looks like Chisaki is starting to pull them all together and there is also another thing.

Izuku: What is it?

AllMight: It looks like he even made contact with League of Villains recently.

Izuku: Wait, so why can't we just take them down now?

AllMight: It's not that easy. We don't have enought evidences to arrest them. Shie Hassaikai is operating in grey zone, close to black but we can't treat them as villains yet.

Izuku: But how do you know all of this.

AllMight: A friend of mine in police department asked me for help with investigation and told me everything.

Izuku: Why are you dragging me into this too then if you have case to run.

AllMight: I thought you would like to start building up your name in public, so what could be better start then taking down criminal organization with current no.1 hero. Just imagine that publicity that will get.

Izuku: (So he wanted to help me start my carrer, that is really nice. I am still highschooler, but it can't hurt get some recognition before becomming actual pro.) Thank you, but how will we do this then?

AllMight: Eventho Chisaki isn't making moves himself, we had already few witnesses of his underlinks breaking the law. We will catch those until we will get to final boss.

Izuku: I understand, but do you know by any chance what his quirk is?

AllMight: From what we know, his quirk allows him to destroy and recreate things. We don't know how it works tho, since there were very few occasions he used that quirk.

Izuku: (Recreation quirk, that might be even more powerful than what I have right now. If that's the case, I need to be extra cautious.) I see. Then let's get to it, shall we.

AllMight: Yes, we will be also doing normal patrols and collecting intel, so don't think it will be only Overhaul hunting.

Izuku: That is exactly what I wanted, I can't wait.
