I flew to the window and waited for him to leave the house. Once I saw him get into a car. I flew over to the bed and changed into my human form.

I sighed and laid back. "Ugh Edward What am I going to do? I don't know how long I can stay in those forms much longer. It makes me so tired...."

"Well then don't over exert yourself."

"What?! I thought I could only hear you as an animal?"

"It seems you were wrong." He told me.

"Okay I guess... would you... keep watch for me? I don't want him to see me like this."

"Like what?" said Edward.

"A freak. No one I know has white hair and crystal blue eyes. And the things I can do... I'm a freak and nobody likes a freak."

"Stop saying that!" He growled.

"It's true..." I said closing my eyes and falling to sleep.

-the next morning-

*Oswald's POV*

I came home tired and ready to sleep. I walked in, and went to my room. Edward was sleeping on his bed, and I looked to my bed and saw a beautiful young woman with white hair. She was asleep on my bed.

"What the..." I whispered under my breath.

Who is she and what is she doing in my house. And what about that dog? I mean parrot? Wait was she the shapeshifter? The parrot?!

I went back downstairs and into a guest bedroom. I took a shower, changed clothes, and fell asleep on the bed.

-hours later-

I woke up and checked on the woman.
She was still sound asleep. I went back downstairs and into the kitchen. I saw a maid and I told her to take the morning off. I was going to make us breakfast this morning.

I decided to put on some classical music whilst I cooked. I made eggs, bacon, muffins, and some porridge.

I looked up and saw her coming down the stairs...

"Good morning miss!" I said cheerily.

She must have realized she was a human, because she quickly shifted into a dog.

"No no no! It's okay miss! Really!"

"No. It's not." She said as a dog.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. How was she able to talk as a dog.

"It's fine really. Are you insecure?"

"No."

"Well if you are. There is no need to be. You're very beautiful!" I blurted out.

Why did I say that?! Great Oswald! She's going to think you're a creep!

"I'm... a freak... besides you don't even know me."

"You're not a freak your a woman of many gifts. That is what I see."

She turned into a human again.

"How?..." She said slowly the continued, "How? How can you see that? I'm a freak. An experiment. Sure I honestly volunteered to be experimented on. I figured either I'd get out of Arkham or I'd die trying. He promised me he'd get me out of Arkham if I allowed him to experiment on me..." She said looking down.

"You did what you had to do to survive. And to me that's something to be proud of." I said sliding her plate to her.

"Thanks I think..." she said slowly picking up her fork and bringing the eggs to her mouth.

"You're very welcome." I smiled as I began to eat.

She hesitated, and looked at me warily.

"Not to worry. It's not poisoned I assure you." I smiled.

Edward climbed down the stairs and made his way to his food. I smiled at him.

"Good morning Edward!" I said as I pat his head. He licked my hand and I continued to eat.

"Edward would you?..."

He barked.

"Would you please taste this for me?"

He barked again.

"Well I honestly don't trust your... Uh... owner?"

He growled and barked again putting his paw on her leg.

"Please Edward?" She begged the dog.

He barked and growled at the same time.

She put a piece of each item in her hand. She leaned down to give it to him.

He sniffed it. Then scarfed it up.

He barked happily and wagged his tail. Then proceeded to trot to his food bowl.

She grabbed her fork and at the eggs. Then went on to the bacon, and her biscuit. After, she used her spoon to eat her porridge.

She smiled as she finished. Only then realizing I was still eating and thus she must have eaten too fast.

"It's nice to know I'm appreciated. You enjoyed your food, yes?"

She just looked at me like a lost puppy. Then said, "Oh yes... very much so. It was delectable!"

I finished my food and brought our plates and silverware to the sink. I walked back to the table and she was gone. Suddenly I heard running water behind me. I turned back around toward the sink, and I saw her soaping up a sponge.

"Oh no! You're my guest! You shouldn't be doing that."

"It's fine. It's the least I can do. After all, you allowed me to stay the night, and you made breakfast. The least I could do is clean the dishes!" She smiled at me.

"A-are you sure? I'd feel more comfortable if you'd let me do it."

"Why? Do you not trust me with such a simple task?"

"No."

She scowled.

"No I mean! No I don't want you to do it by yourself. At least allow me to help!"

Her scowl disappeared, and turned into a smile. "Very well then."
