36. Beautiful Creatures

Lusciana knew she had been betrayed. She couldn't believe Oswald had killed the one person who treated her as though she really mattered. The only woman who she could truthfully call mother. He killed her. He promised her it wasn't that kind of visit. But as he said, he lied. She couldn't believe she was starting to fall in love with a monster like him.

"YOU!!!! I never want to see your face again! I hate you with every fiber of my being!" She felt herself involuntarily shift.

She roared and charged him. She had become a lioness. She wanted to kill him. She wanted to make him suffer, to feel her pain. To beg for mercy. And she would show him none. But as she leaped on top of him she found she couldn't. She couldn't kill the man she fell in love with. Instead she just roared in his face and pounced off of him. And roared once more to tell him to run. Because if she ever sees him again, hers would be the last face he sees.

She was hurting, so much, she felt herself close off everything. She didn't want to accept the fact that her mother, her mentor, her best and closest friend, had been murdered by the man she thought she loved. She thought there was even a slightest chance he felt the same, but now she sees it was just a stupid fantasy. The only people she loved either died or betrayed her.

This time it would be different. She would change. Because this darkness that was beginning to wrap itself around her heart, was starting to make her see who she needed to be.

Merciless, vengeful, And god help anyone who stood in her way. They, too, would pay the price. She would kill them. As she saw Oswald glee from the scene she shifted back and screamed.
She screamed in pain, at the loss of Fish, at the world, and in anger. But most of all, that scream was her vow to the world and anyone who would dare oppose her, that she would get her revenge one way or another. No she wouldn't kill Oswald. But she would take everything he holds dear and make it her own. And he would watch as she burned everything he worked so hard for, to the ground.

She knew she couldn't do it alone however so she dried her tears and put up her barriers. She would have vengeance.

She would assemble a team. Of the most notorious criminals that not only wanted to see Oswald fall but also bring Gotham into a new era.

She already knew she'd have one ally in her endeavors. The Riddler aka Ed Nygma. He already hated Oswald, at least she hoped he did. She knew she could count on Jim Gordon. Him being the justice seeker he was. Perhaps she could even count on her old friend Bruce Wayne. She knew one thing for sure she wasn't the only one with a vendetta against him.

First she needed a list of people she could trust.

Ivy Pepper
Selina Kyle
Bruce Wayne
Jim Gordon

And the rest are a work in progress.

Time to get busy. Lusciana decided she was going to pay Oswald one last visit.
She began make no her way back to his mansion. She turned into a mouse and snuck in. She made her way to her bedroom and she shifted back. She got her duffel bag and walked back downstairs not caring who she ran into at this point. She saw Oswald coming up the stairs. Seemingly just getting home. He looked up and saw her, then she glared at him as she passed him, purposefully bumping into his shoulder nearly knocking him down the stairs. She went into the commons room and saw most of Oswald's men.

So she decided to take advantage of the situation.

"Good evening gentlemen. I know you all are working for Oswald but I want to offer you the same opportunity that he has. However with me, I value your life, and I respect you. Those that have worked with me before know this. They can attest to it. I just wanted to give you the opportunity. As well as say goodbye." Said Lusciana.

Whispers went through the room as they murmured as to what was going on.

"Yes yes. I know it's very shocking to discover that one of Oswald's most loyal friends is leaving him. Be that as it may, he killed someone very dear to me. And I cannot bare to see him. He knew how much this person meant to me, he lied to me, tricked me, and betrayed me. I don't know if I would want that kind of person as my boss, let alone my friend. So if you wish to come work for me. You can contact me in two places. Fish Mooney's old club, and Pennington mansion. That's right. I said Pennington mansion. It was once my home. And yes I was that girl. I did not kill my workers someone else did and they framed me. My staff were my family. They showed me kindness and compassion when no one else did. So why would I kill them? As I said I was that girl but I am no more. Now I am the young woman you see today, Lusciana Swann. And I will make Oswald pay. And to anyone who stands in my way, prepare to burn with him."

Lucy finished her speech and walked out of the mansion, she turned into a panther and held her duffle bag by the straps in her mouth. She ran until she saw the familiar outline of her family home. She shifted back and turned the door knob. Locked. Well at least she knew they were keeping it secure.

She knocked on the door. And heard a grumbling girl behind the door.

A familiar redhead opened the door with a jerk. Once she saw who was at the door, she squealed and threw her arms around Lusciana.

"Oh my goodness I haven't seen you in forever! Come on in!" She jerked Lucy into the mansion.

"Hello Ivy. How are you doing?"

"Better now that your here! Barbara And Tabitha moved out. And Cat is here somewhere..."

"Selina! Cat! We have a guest!!!!!!"

"Yeah yeah whatever you say ive." Said the young woman known as Selina Kyle. She was making her way down
the left staircase at the entrance.

"This isn't just a friendly visit ivy. I've come to ask for help."

Ivy's expression instantly turned into one of concern. "What is it? What happened?"

"Oswald betrayed me. He killed the one person who truly felt like my mother. He killed Fish Mooney."

Ivy gasped. Selina opened her mouth in shock and to speak, but she closed it.

"Yeah and you can guess what I need help with?" Lucy laughed and sniffles at the same time.

"Revenge." Said the Ivy and Selina simultaneously.
