Levi's POV:

Today was the day we were going back to school. I had been staying home also to take care, and keep a close eye on him. We had finished our whole sign and I knew that his happiness was going to drop a little bit. He wouldn't see me at all during the school day after this, and if he did it had to act like a total jackass to him, I couldn't make it seem like I cared. I didn't even do that with Hange and Erwin. I'm sure that there will be dozens of new rumours about me, and probably a few about Eren a well.

We both got up and dressed like normal, and I informed him that I would not be acting the same as I do at home, and he understood. He had detention for a week after school, and that meant I would have to stay behind and wait to drive him home, which was a bit of a nuisance. I could tell he was excited to see his friends again, and I'm sure that they had missed him, but I felt like even if he time off wasn't the most relaxing, he had needed it.

I had been making sure he ate healthy, and was maintaining and consistent weight, we had regular follow-ups planned, and would be going back to the house with the fire department after school. So we slid into the car, the poster we had made in the back. When we pulled up most of the halls were empty, but that was because I was always early. We dropped off the poster in the classroom and hung out in the hallway, until it started to get more crowded.

"Oi, Brat. See you in class," I called out and sighed as I walked away, swinging my coat off my shoulders and onto my waist.

Narrators POV:

Eren was actually kind of happy to be back, he got to see my friends again. Mikasa and Armin came strutting up.

"Woah, someone here early!" Ymir and Christa appeared from behind them.

"Yeah, I decided to show up early to make up for the week I wasn't here!" he said cheerfully. Christa was in Eren's next class and so he walked with her.

"So why were you out an extra week? We missed you!" She asked.

"Oh I got super sick, but i'm all okay now," Eren reassured her.

"Aw that's sucky, at least you got a break from Jean" She chuckled.

"Yeah haha, I missed you guys a ton though, how was the break?"

The two went on and made small talk about their break, and Eren lied about all of his, he had to. He had made Mikasa and Armin swear to secrecy, and he had no clue how Levi had made Hange be quiet about it; hell he probably paid her. Once they were in class, the teachers silently welcomed him back with a smile and nod, but Jean wasn't too happy about it.

Jean turned back in his seat and faced Eren.

"You must be really good at skipping huh? Ditching class to do god knows what. I had plenty of time with Mikasa and I was living for it, why'd you have to go and ruin it man!?" He said with a chuckle, and Christa pitched in.

"Jean! Be nice! He was sick!" Christa had alway been kind.

"It's okay christa, i'm used to dealing with this jerk."

Jean began to bicker but the teacher shut him up. Eren wanted to be his friend, just a little bit. He was friends with some of his friends, and he had wished they gotten along better. That class went by fast and quick, but now he had a ton of work he needed to catch up on, and Eren wasn't too thrilled about it. He hoped the whole day would go by as quickly as it could.

Eren made it through to his english class and almost immediately, she announced that Friday would be the last for presentations, and that the seniors would be in class everyday. As she had said, the class of seniors we were working with came in and sat with their partners. Levi, who was leaning back into his chair didn't even acknowledge Eren, and it made him a little bit anxious. Levi was pissed that he had so much makeup work, but he knew that Eren would have just as much, if not more.
