Chapter Forty-Five;

Snowfall:

Eren's POV:

I woke up to the soft sound of Levis' breath, I had actually woken up before him. He was resting peacefully on my chest, his hands wrapped around my waist. Despite how his eyebrows were still furrowed, he somehow managed to look peaceful. It was only 7 am and the sun was shining through the window, warming the room with its gentle light. Levi grunted and I leaned my head over, placing an innocent kiss on his head.

"Morning Levi," I said in a cheery tone.

"Gah..morning," He said, raising his hand to block the sun out of his eyes.

I hopped out of bed, slipped on a pair of sweatpants and headed down stairs. I lit the fireplace in the living room and flicked on the TV.

"Well someoes in a good mood this morning," Levi started from behind me, making me jump.

"Yeah!"

"Good...do you wanna go out today..?"

"You mean like...on a date...?" I asked..shocked by the sudden question.

"Sure," he said bluntly, looking away.

"That sounds fun!" I said happily.

"Go get dressed, we're leaving in 10,"

10 minutes!? And now!? I wasn't going to complain but, what the hell could he possibly have planned for us? Did he have anything planned at all; or was it just spontaneous? I rushed to pick out an outfit, but settled on just normal jeans and my favorite sweatshirt. I quickly iran back down the stairs and he was grabbing his keys, and throwing on his coat. He tossed a cat at me and we walked out to the car, a light snow falling to the ground.

After 40 minutes or so of driving we pulled into the parking lot of a tall building and took the elevator 16 floors up. When the doors opened, they opened to what seemed like a whole new universe. On the 16th floor sat a small cottage themed cafe, windows on all sides with a perfect view of the city. My jaw dropped, It was all so cozy and beautiful. The warm air, the calm scent of coffee and fresh baked cookies, it almost felt nostalgic. Levi grabbed my hand, and tugged me inside.

We walked up to the counter and ordered drinks and muffins, upon receiving our order Levi guided me around the Cafe, and eventually took me up a small flight on stairs. Hidden on the higher level was shelf after shelf filled with books, and on the edges by the window were tables to sit at and read.

"This place is so beautiful," I commented as we sat at a table and I took in my surroundings.

"I used to come here all the time when I started highschool," He said, glancing at me and then out the window.

"It's all just so comforting, and I don't know what but something makes it nostalgic,"

"I have no idea either, but I have always gotten that vibe as well,"

"Just the scent, and temperature, with the great views, all on top of the surprisingly pretty snowfall? I love it," I said, looking back to face Levi.

"Calm quiet places can be some of the best ones," Levi said sipping his coffee and facing back towards me.

We finished up our drinks and walked around the store browsing the rows and shelves of books. Sooner or later Levi and I had a good 4 books picked out and although I wasn't a big reader, they actually seemed interesting. We paid and left, it was somehow already past 1:30. We tossed the bags in the back of the car, and he announced that we had an hour drive ahead of us.
