Narrator's POV:

Eren laid in bed and completely ignored all of his incoming texts from Mikasa and Armin, he had no idea what to do with himself. He hadn't slept at all since he was brought home by Levi, and would break out into a fit of tears every once in a while. Soon Eren decided to use the bathroom, and in that moment he checked the time. Armin and Mikasa would be getting back any minute now and the last thing he wanted was for them to find out what happened. He shuffled himself down the hall and into the bathroom while he thought of ways he could cover this up. When they went back to school on wednesday Eren would have no way to play it off, he couldn't go back right away.

Pain stung from all over his body and he didn't even bother to shut the bathroom door. He noticed the small cuts on his hands, and grimaced as he observed them. "Well, more scars.." He thought to himself as he looked at his drained green eyes in the mirror. When Eren walked back into his messy room he acknowledged he would need to hide the bag from Levi, so he just pushed it under his bed. No one had a reason to check, so it should be fine. The tall boy gently kicked the bag under his bed and realized he didn't have any of the clothes he had packed, or his makeup. "Shit!" Eren yelled as he sat on his bed and pulled out his phone. "At least you brought me my phone..." The boy mumbled as he fell back and opened his message log.

His phone displayed his most recent texts, some from Mikasa, some from Armin, and sitting right below them was Levi. He hovered his finger over Levi's name and thought back, to what had happened. "Why had he done it..?" this question would not go away. He feared Levi or sure, but they had a project to do, and he had all of his stuff. He moved his finger and opened the texts from Mika first.

Mikasa: We are on our way back, see you soon.

Eren: Okay. See you soon :)

He would be faking his happiness. He clicked on Armin's contact.

Armin: Hey, We should be back soon, we missed you!

Eren: Okay! Can't wait to see you :)

Again, another lie. He didn't have a choice, if he told them about any of it Levi would get in huge trouble with everything, and that wasn't what he wanted. Eren was the type of person that would take treatment from anybody, and still be able to say that he loved them. He didn't resent Levi for what he'd done, that was how he wanted to be. He didn't want to hold a grudge.

Sooner or later Eren got text saying that they made it back, and that they would be stopping by to hang out. He really wasn't in the mood to hang out so he decided to act sick.
Eren: Sorry guys, you can stop by but you'll have to leave right after. I'm sick.

He knew Mika would go and blame it on Levi but he would act like he didn't care, even though it set him off the most. That was the catch. He could take almost all treatment to himself, but when it came to the people he cared and loved for, he was very protective. He had always hated it when she shit-talked Levi but Eren could't show Mikasa how much he cared about him. That was the brutal truth.

Eren sat up again and rolled up the baggy red sleeves of Levi's sweatshirt. "Levi's sweatshirt! Shit!" He yelled before gently but swiftly sliding it over his head and tossing it onto his bed. As he reached down to the floor to pick up a hoodie of his own a tight pain snapped in his shoulder. He glanced over it and could just barely make out the small stands of silk poking out. "So that's where Levi stitched-" He thought to himself. As he slid his own hoodie over his head. As if the timing was perfect, there was a knock at the door. Mika and Armin.

Eren hurried down the stairs and tried to ignore the pain. He popped on his hood, and slid down the sleeves before opening the door, this way they couldn't see the bruises. He opened the door and she pulled Eren into a hug. He slightly pushed her away,

"It's only been a week, you act like its been a year-" Armin said with a chuckle.

"Hey guys.. You really shouldn't come in.. I don't want to infect you-" He said making his voice sound more harsh and raspy. It's not like Eren didn't want to see them. It was just that Eren didn't want them catching on.

"Well..." Mikasa paused, "Merry christmas," She said while handing Eren two boxes neatly wrapped.

"The smaller ones from me-" Armin pitched in. They both sided and turned to walk away.

"I'm sorry you couldn't stay longer, thanks for the gifts..ones from me are still being shipped.." Eren trailed off. Yet another lie. Eren closed the door behind them and turned away to lean his back against it. He hadn't gotten them anything, Eren had been too caught up with Levi.

He walked up the stairs to his room cautiously and when Eren got to his room he opened up his phone. "I can get Mika a new scarf and Armin a new book." The boy thought to himself as he opened up Zamazon. He searched for a little while and paid for a red scarf, and a book all about sea life. Armin had always been fascinated by the sea. He placed his phone down and reached for the bag under his bed, the one that held painkillers. He popped two into his mouth and swallowed them dry, Eren knew he wouldn't be able to take them on an empty stomach so he ate the slice of toast he had brought up earlier.

Eren slipped under the covers and picked up Levis' sweatshirt out of the way. Out of pure curiosity he held it to his face. It smelt like Levi. The boy hugged the sweatshirt tightly, and felt the need to cry, but couldn't. He had run out of tears. An idea sparked in Eren's mind. He grabbed a small pillow and slid it inside of the sweatshirt, and laid it at his side. He held it tightly and thought back, back to the first time he had done this with Levi. He took a shaky breath, "G-goodnight Le-," He couldn't get the name out, and he shut his eyes, small whimpers escaping; the tall boy fell into a restless sleep.
