Chapter Three:Partners

Erens POV

I just sat there and waited. "Oi, brat I'm your partner Levi Ackerman." He was really intimidating beside his height, raven black hair that minorly flowed into his eyes on one side, a stone-cold unreadable expression. I held my hand out for him to shake. "I'm Eren Jaeger and I'm not a brat." He shook my hand firmly, looked at me "You're a brat if I say you are a brat, let's go." he said coldly. I then proceeded to follow him no questions asked because I knew how bad the response could be. We were assigned seniors, he was known for beating up people that got on his nerves, but he only ever got detention, he must have really good grades then. We stopped at what was obviously his locker, he grabbed a book and caught me staring at him. "Take a picture it'll last longer, tch"

I followed him out into the southeast courtyard. He stopped under a large tree and sat down against it. I just plopped down next to him and glanced over to what he was reading. "I love that book! It's one of my favorites!" he paused his reading to look up at me he raised an eyebrow then turned back to his book. "Are you liking it so far?" I innocently questioned. "mhm" was all I got for a response he didn't sound too interested. I decided to pull out my phone and play one of the several shooter games I had installed. A couple of days passed and we just sat under the same tree and did what we wanted and I would occasionally try to make some sort of conversation, but it never went anywhere, was I really that bad at this or did he just hate me that much. It was Friday and we had to do this project over the vacation that started at the end of today, we had nine days of vacation including the weekends, we still had to pick a type of equality. "So umm Levi what kind of equality do you want to do this project on?"

"Gay equality," he said bluntly not even looking up from the book that he was reading. "Okay, that's fine with me." With that, the bell rung signaling that we could go home. Levi jumped up with one try only using his legs and threw a piece of paper at me "don't be late, shitty brat."He said as he walked away not even bothering to look back at me. I headed back to my locker grabbed my bag, pulled out my headphones and hit shuffle on my playlist, still holding the note in my hand. Armin and Mikasa were waiting at the school gate for me because we had always walked home together. Mikasa immediately saw the note that I was holding in my hand. "Eren, WHOS THE NOTE FROM!!??" She said eagerly. "It's just from my partner chill out," I said calmly she HATED Levi, and I don't even know why I mean yah he can be an ass but that's not a good enough reason to hate him.

We got home and I relaxed, and tried to up my math skills but was completely lost in the several numbers displayed on the paper, I fell asleep but I awoke when I remembered that Levi had told me not to be late, I quickly opened the note that had still been resting in my hand.

Shit, shit, shit it was already 6:45, I quickly put my math stuff back into my bag along with my laptop and a book. Once the bag was on my back I grabbed my phone and earbuds told Armin that I would be back by nine so that I didn't have to go through a four-hour question session with Mikasa, and I rushed out the door following my walking GPS to Levis place. Once at the building I entered and took the elevator up to the 5th floor and walked to the end of the hall trying to find #376, I knocked on the door just as I watched my phones clock change from 6:59 to 7:00. Levi opened the door in a hoodie and some grey skinny jeans, he looked kinda cute, ah what am I doing, I'm 100% straight. "Right on time, Jaeger." He stepped back and invited me inside. I walked inside placed my black combat boots on his shoe mat and followed Levi inside.

Levi's POV

The brat had good senses, he automatically put his black combat boots on my shoe mat. I gave the brat a tour while explaining the rules:

"One: Don't go anywhere without my approval."

"Two: Keep things neat and clean."

"Three: Don't ask stupid ass questions."

"Okay, that's it brat, want anything to drink?" I asked while pouring myself a glass of lemonade. "W-water is fine" well that's bland I thought to myself, why did he stutter am I'm really that intimidating? I thought while remaining my usual careless expression and pouring this kids water.
