Elijah and his brother Klaus were looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July with a huge ball. Everything was going perfectly.
But then Elijah finds out his girlfriend cheated on him. And Klaus, who was enjoying his life as a womanizer...
Bonnie was busy making coffee, when the doorbell of her Café rang, announcing the arrival of a new customer. Although, 'new' was probably not the right word for it. It was a person who came to this Café very often.
"Hey! Bon-Bon! Great to see you, how is Lexi doing? Is she here?" he asked with a smirk.
"Hello to you too, Damon. And no, Lexi is not here right now. It's her day off."
"Hang on! Does that mean you're working alone here today? Earth to Bon-Bon, you're pregnant!" Bonnie sighed a little, smiling. Damon was sassy, arrogant and reckless. But somehow he still managed to have a good heart after all. He was her husband's oldest friend. It had taken Bonnie years to finally see the good guy beneath his arrogant bad boy face.
But back to the question. "No, I'm not working alone today, Damon. Camille is here too. Our new co-worker."
"Lovely! And where is this 'Camille'?" he asked, a little sarcastic.
"In the back, preparing the bagels."
"Say no more, Bon-Bon, just let me get this." he said with a smirk. And with that, he hopped over the counter and took the coffee bag right out of Bonnie's hands.
"Damon!" she protested.
"Sorry, Bon-Bon, but I need my coffee now, but I also don't want your baby to become addicted to coffein before birth. I mean, how could I teach them to properly drink coffee later in life if they're already learning while inside your belly?"
Bonnie just rolled her eyes. But at the same time, she heard a silent chuckle behind her. As she turned around, she saw Camille standing behind her. Cami had just come out of the kitchen bringing a new can of caramel sirup for the lattes they offered.

"Hi. I'm Cami. And since you are already here even though we're not open yet, I presume you're a friend."
Damon grinned at her. "Yes, I am. Damon Salvatore, nice to meet you. I own a club, together with my buddy Enzo. He's Bon-Bon's husband."
"Yes, she told me about you and Enzo. I just didn't know you were so fixated on coffeine." Camille respnded with a smile.
"Well, I had to pick up something. Took me a long time and huge effort to get away from alcohol. Coffee's the replacement. Although it kinda sucks at the job. I mean, have you ever tried to drown your problems in coffee?" Camille laughed while Damon continued. "See, that's what I mean. I think I'm gonna have to fire this replacement."
Camille nodded, chuckling a little. "I think that depends on the problems you're trying to forget. Maybe you can actually face them or even solve them somehow." she pointed out.
Damon shook his head. "That is generally a good idea but it's what I've been trying to do for months now. Kinda getting a bit tiresome, the whole 'dealing with it' business. But hey, I've been doing a good job."
