{Ellies pov}

After the great first day at the new school. I was already tired of it. I made absolutely no friends, so I didn't eat because I wouldn't have anywhere to sit anyways. So what's the point?

Well the first days over. I'm sitting on the front porch, just about to light my cigarette.

I look up and see Michael's car pulling in our driveway.

Great now I'm going to have to explain everything I already did to my mom. How school sucked and how I miss my old high-school.

"Hey Ellie. Didn't see you at lunch today." Michael says as I glance down to the lighter and cigarette.

"Well Michael I'll let you know that it sucks and I want absolutely nothing to do with it." I light the cigarette and take a drag of it.

"I didn't know you smoked, Ellie?" "Well I didn't think you'd care." I guess we are both surprised here. He didn't like my response but I'm honestly not in the mood for this.

"It's not good for yo-" "Blah blah blah. Michael if you think I haven't heard what your saying before, you're crazy." I laugh it off and take another drag.

"Okay Ellie, but don't blame me, when that thing kills you." Michael says, pretty pissed at me.

"I wasn't planning on it."
He sits down in a chair across from me.

"Look, I didn't come her to lecture you, I just care about you."

"Well you aren't doing a good job of not lecturing me" I glance at him, and of course, take another drag of the only thing holding me together.

"Alright, if you're gonna be pissy with me I'll talk to you another time. But don't be afraid to talk to me at school or anything. Last thing I want is for you to be alone." He walks away, gets in his silver truck. And finally drives off.

'The last thing I want is for you to be alone.' Yeah right. Well sorry Michael, I think it's a little late for that.
