{Ashton's pov}

I haven't talked to Ellie since I was at her house. But I don't know what I'm supposed to say. I feel like if I say something wrong, she will fall.

She will fall, and she will break. But what happens when I don't say anything?

God I don't know what to do.

I'll text Sarah and see if I can get el's number.

To: sarahhhh
Hey Sarah do you have Ellie's number?

From: sarahhhh
Yep hold on. Does little ashy have a crush ;) ?

To: sarahhhh
No I think I just messed up badly, and I need to fix things.

From: sarahhhh
Oh I see. If you guys need condoms I got the hookup. ;)

To: sarahhhh
Calm down Sarah I would never like her like that.

I decide to text El right away.

To: El :)
Hey El it's ashton, I got your number from Sarah. I have a few more things I need to say to you. :/ can I come over?

I push send, and after 20 minutes of no response I figure she's ignoring me.

I call, her and it rings for a while, then goes to voicemail.

Okay ash just get in your car and drive to her place.

A short 5 minute drive, and I'm thinking of what the hell I'm even supposed to say to her.

When I pull up, a take a deep breath and remember that this has gotta be done.

I knock on the door, and her mom answers.

"Hello, can I help you?" She says wiping her hands on her dirty apron.

"Um yah I guess, I'm ashton and I'm a friend of Ellie's , do you think I could talk to her?"

She nods and calls Ellie's name.

No response.

She sighs and says, "You know what, why don't you just go up there, and just tell me if you need anything."

I nod and say thank you. I find her door, and slowly open it, saying "el?"

What I see when I open the door, is an image I will never be able to forget.
