You stood at the back of the church ready to walk down the aisle. The doors hadn't opened yet but just beyond them stood your future husband. You stood arm in arm with your mum as your dad ran away before you were even born so she was your only real y parental figure. So much went wrong in your life but then you met Billy and you almost forgot about it all. You clicked immediately and became instant friends which eventually turned to lovers and now here you stood in a wedding dress ready to say your vowed in the next few minutes. You felt your hand get squeezed as you look up to your mum. "Nervous?" she asked. "You have no idea." She chuckled. "It'll be alright. He loves you. I see how you look at each other and I don't even think actual married couples look at each other the way you both look at one another."

"But what if he doesn't want me?" Your mother cups your cheeks bringing your eyes to stare into hers. "You listen to me. Do you really think that after all these years, everything you have been through together that he would just drop you like that?" She snaps her fingers. "You've both done so many things together that would ruin most people but you came out stringer and together. You are both going to be fine and if anything does go wrong I'll always be here. I'll always be here." A tear escapes your eye but is quickly wiped away. "No, no honey. We can't have you walking down the aisle looking like a racoon." You chuckled and nodded before getting positioned again to walk down the aisle.

The music played, the doors swung open and everyone stood to look at you walking down the aisle as your dress and veil trailed behind you. All eyes fell onto you. You met eyes with Billy making the smile on your face grow wider as did his. You reached the altar and the music stopped. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today-" "You took your time." Billy whispered over to you. "Had to make sure I was looking good for my husband." You reply. "No need, you always look beautiful. Is it hard to walk in that dress? It looks heavy." You look down at the poofy dress and nod. "Extremely heavy but I don't miss leg day." He chuckles. "What?" You ask. "I was gonna make a joke but you're gonna end up having to leave the altar you're gonna laugh that much."

"No, no. Tell me." He laughs lightly before turning back around to you. "I skip leg day most of the time." As he thought, you laughed. It was terrible but you did not expect that. You began laughing hysterically as Billy joined in. Everyone looked up confused as to what was going on and you both ended up having to leave the altar to calm down. You walk outside to calm yourselves. The laughing calms down as you both let out a sigh. "Can I tell you a secret?" He nodded. "I'm so nervous. It's all so scary, the unknown but I'll tell you something for nothing. I'm happy I'm going into the unknown with you." He smiles and pulls you closer. "I am too but you've been with me through everything. Every high and low, you were there so I'm happy you're going to be there for every other challenge and celebration." There is a moment of comfortable silence. "So shall we go back in?" He looks to the door and agrees. "Come on then." You open the doors yet again with eyes falling onto you from every direction.
