Y/n walked around the streets of London. Christmas time for some reason felt very special and she didn't know exactly why. She looked up and all around the the beautiful Christmas lights twinkling around. She always loved Christmas. Y/n loved seeing the smiles everyone had when the season came around. It was so special and it joined people together. Y/n soon found that she was absolutely frozen to the bone so she seeked out a coffee shop or something to warm up and grba a drink. She walked into the Costa coffee and ordered a hot chocolate. The cashier handed her back the receipt after she ordered which made Y/n scoff. "Twelve pound for a bloody hot chocolate and cream?" She said to herself. She heard a chuckle come from behind her. She turned around and saw a handsome looking man smirking at her. "Sorry, it's just so expensive." She muttered. "No it's okay. I understand completely. I don't understand it myself. Are the cows they get the cream descendants of the cows in the manger?" He joked which earned a giggle from Y/n. She outstretched her hand to take his. "I'm Y/n." She said. "Charles." He replied. "When I get my drink could I go and sit with you? I'm here by myself so I don't have anyone and it appears you don't either." She smiled and nodded. "I'll be over here." She said before walking away with the drink in her hand. She sat next to the window and drew a little Christmas tree on the window with her finger. "Lovely picture."

She turned and saw Charles sitting down. "Why thank you. What did you get?" She asked taking a sip of her hit chocolate. "Same as you. So, where are you from?" Charles asked. "I'm from here. Im back from uni for the Christmas break." She replied simply. "And where do you study?" He asked again. "I study at Cambridge. I worked very hard to get there. It's awfully competitive." Charles smiled. "I can imagine. What do you study? Sorry for the questions I just, I really want to know more about you. You seem lovely." Y/ felt the blush rising to her cheeks. "I am studying architecture. Its boring I know but I'm genuinely interested in it." She understood that it was quite boring for some so she didn't exactly expect Charles to find it interesting. "Well if you find it interesting, if it makes you happy, you enjoy I imagine?" She nodded. "I do indeed. Enough questions about me. How about you?" She asked in return. "Well what do you want to know?" Charles sat back and relaxed a bit more. "Well, where you're from, what you study, where you study, stuff like you asked me."

"Well I'm from Monaco, I don't study but I have an interest in engineering and racing. Do you like racing?" He asked. Charles sorta didn't want her to like racing so she wouldn't freak out or anything. "I can't say I do but I might get into it. Any race you would recommend?" Aw dammit. "Probably... Monza 2008. That was a decent race but I'd also watch Spa." She nodded and took a mental note of that. "I'll keep that in mind. Anyway what-" "Excuse me?" The pair tore their eyes off one another and turned around to a group of three young boys clutching a phone and marker. Charles guessed what they would like but Y/n was none the wiser. "Are you Charles Leclerc?" one of the kids asked. Y/n looked at Charles a bit confused but he nodded. "Can we have a picture please?" They asked. Charles happily agreed and snapped a few photos with them. Before they left and therefore leaving Charles with the stranger he had just met and surely almost definitely a story to tell. "So are we going to talk about that or what are we going to do?" Y/n chuckled.

"Okay, okay. I'm a formula one driver. I drive for ferrari. That's why I don't study and probably obsessed with racing." He said quickly. "And why couldn't you have just said that?" Y/n asked. "I was scared you'd freak out and leave me by myself." He replied. She scoffed playfully. "You think highly of yourself if you think I'd walk away out of shock of meeting a driver." She said taking a sip of her hot chocolate. Charles looked at her strangely. She wasn't treating him different, it seemed as if she treated everybody like this. "Yeah well, you know. Thoughts." He quietly said. Y/n smiled a warm smile at him. He was so shy but why the sudden lack of confidence? "You aren't used to having to talk to a girl are you?" She chuckled. "They are usually throwing themselves at me by now so not exactly."

"Because I actually have a brain I suppose it must be." She replied a bit cockily. "Must be so." Charles mumbled. "So when we leave here, are we going to continue hanging out or just pretend we never met?" He asked. Y/n looked up and saw the desperation in his eyes to see her again. "Well I'd like to keep talking so maybe we should walk around for a while if you would like." His face lit up at her words. "Definitely. I would love that." He said. "Well let's go then." Y/n took her coat and threw it over her, ready to leave as did Charles. They walked out of the cafe smiling and laughing.

The pair hung out for what felt like hours and that was because it was. Charles felt like he knew her personally now, as if he'd known her all his life and Y/n felt the exact same way. They walked around and came across a massive Christmas tree in the middle of a park. "That looks beautiful doesn't it?" Y/n said pointing at the tree. Charles looked down at her and smiled. "Yes it is quite beautiful." She looked back at him and noticed that he might not have even been talking about the tree, as he probably wasn't looking at it. "Yes. Let's go take a look shall we?" Charles nodded in agreement. The pair set off to venture in the Park and investigate the tree a little more closely. The snow crunched beneath their feet and their hot breaths danced in the cold air.

"It's so nice." Y/n murmered. She didn't notice that Charles had made up a Snowball but she found out a little too late as a feeling of cold hit her. She squealed as parts of the Snowball went down her back. She turned around and shot Charles a glare before firing a snowball right back at him in the face, making him fall back. "Hey! That hurt!" Charles yelled over to Y/n who was nearly in tears from laughing. "You started it Leclerc!" She responded through the laughs. "That didn't mean you had to hit me back." Y/n walked over and offered a hand to pull him back onto his feet but he took full advantage of that. He took hold of her hand and pulled her down on top of him. Charles let out a groan in pain. "I didn't think that through." Y/n giggled and sat up a bit. "Yeah, yeah. Once again, you don't think."

Charles smirked and rolled over so she was now on the ground and not him. Y/n's cheeks grew red with the sudden change of position and gulped hard. Charles laughed at her shocked state and smiled warmly at her. "You're amazing. I don't usually say that to girls this early into meeting them but you really are." Y/n's eyes shot over to a branch of the tree and saw a single piece of misteltoe hanging by a string. Charles followed her line of vision and smirked at the misteltoe. "So what now?" He asked. Y/n shrugged her shoulders. "Well it's a silly tradition." Charles closed the gap by millimeters, making Y/n's cheeks grow even more red. "Well then it shouldn't matter if we kiss, should it princesse?" She shook her head. "You really won't stop until you get me, will you?" She mused.

"Nope." He replied, popping the p. She giggled lightly and let her lips meet his in a soft, loving kiss. Their lips melted and moulded together as if they were made for each other. As if they had met before. The kiss lasted a while until Y/n rolled Charles over and she was on top again. "That's a taster Mr Leclerc. Maybe you can have more after a date." Charles smirked. "Of course but only if I get your number."

"I don't know. You'll need to ask Santa Clause."
"I'll be asking Santa for a lot more than your number princesse."
