Love isn't perfect in any way. It can be a drowning emotion which makes you lose control. A drive too strong that all you can do is let the tide carry you. But Yibo isn't a typical boy in love who will allow the wind to drive his sails. He is the captain of his own feelings who will row against the tide and mark his love with an unwanted self-sacrifice.

That is what Zhan doesn't know, and what Yibo doesn't want him to know.

Yibo now hates him, is what Zhan believes. The younger man has build more impenetrable walls to block him...to stop him...leaving Zhan on the verge of admitting defeat. His heart is damaged, torn, and broken and the man who'd caused it won't even bat him an eye. Zhan had seeked forgiveness from his single mistake and Yibo is far from giving him another chance.

But Zhan is wrong. Yibo is the one who asks forgiveness. And he was doing the amendments before the storm...while it is still early...before it will be too late...and before the hurt will be too much.

Zhan thought fate must really be playing its games on him when their meeting with a growing international company, The Wolf, turned out to be with someone he currently wish to avoid. To his utter surprise, Wang Talu entered the executive board room with a wide grin directed to both him and Yibo.

Sitting at the edge of his seat, filled with anxiousness, Zhan's unfocused eyes kept glancing at Yibo. 'Why would he collaborate with Talu's company? Does he even know it is Talu's company?', puzzles Zhan.

But throughout the meeting, Yibo remained calm and objective, presenting the proposed company collaboration to leverage the Wang Empire's resources for an international campaign. And the deal? Talu asked, "I want Xiao Zhan to oversee the project and work for me. With me." Talu emphasized the last two words making Xiao Zhan snap his head towards him, thinking he is out of his mind. Yet, the man just shrugged off his glare and calmly waited for Yibo's approval.

'Don't. Please don't!' Zhan prayed, helplessly summoning heavens to make Yibo's brain make sense.

Yet, his prayers seemed to have landed on deaf ears. Without looking at him, Yibo stood from his seat and lifted his hand towards Talu, nonchalantly answering, "I have no objections.", sealing the deal with a hand-shake.

Stupefied, Zhan gaped at that poker faced man before a flash of anger blinded him. He got up from his seat and marched towards Yibo, gritting his teeth as he condemned his decision. "I am not your employee to command at your disposal! I am only here due to my father's commision, to support you...to make sure you're doing your job! You cannot dump me somewhere else just because you feel like it! Do you hate me this much that you want to get rid of me?" Zhan gunfired, failing to supress his feelings any longer. His eyes were clouding from hurt but Yibo only stared back at him with empty eyes, without any inclination for words of explanation.

"Will you always be like this? Not saying anything? Not even trying to console me? You're so cruel, Yibo." Zhan's voice broke, as a tear escaped his hold. He could foresee that nothing is gonna happen even if he pours his heart out at that moment. It was bright as daylight and as clear as the sky, Yibo has no care whatsoever with how Zhan feels. The man simply doesn't care even if Zhan disappears from his life.

Wiping the trace of his hurt and bracing his heart, Zhan plastered a broken smile at the man who've hurt him the most. "Then, be it. Goodbye, Yibo. I hope you're happy now." He fled with those words echoing around that suffocating room.

Talu gave a small nod towards Yibo, a sympathetic look was obviously there, before he ran after Zhan.

Hao Xuan apologetically stride towards Yibo, patting his shoulder twice, "That man sure looks like he's been pinning for that pretty boy of yours. You sure you won't regret this?"

Yibo's lips remained sealed, turning his body around to watch the empty hallway Zhan had ran off to.

He was trapped in pain. A pain that he wishes he can prevent but couldn't. A pain so severe, he wishes noone else will feel.

A sad smile broke his impassive mask. For a brief moment, Yibo let his feelings free before closing his heart for good. 'Hate me. Resent me. Curse me. Then forget me.'

"Goodbye, Zhan-ge."
