Both brothers where consumed by their own intense and unruly emotions. While Hai Kuan sat on the white granite floor, flabbergasted and speechless, shedding endless tears, Yibo was aimless and lost in a hell hole with no way of escaping the growing regret and anguish tormenting his enfeebled heart.

Overwhelming anger, anxiety and guilt surges through his mind and body, wrecking his spirit into shambles. Unable to cope, his flight response kicked in and his body moved in autopilot, backing away and fleeing from the scene.

The world passed in a blur as he aimlessly roam the streets of Beijing on his motorcycle, finding an inexistent refuge under the brutal weather.

The sky rumbled angrily and the heavy rain howled and lashed at everything it touches, soaking the thin fabric hugging Yibo's defenceless shivering body. But he wasn't fazed by it, nor the fact that his body heat leaches out at a lightning speed.

Yibo continuously let the pouring rain caress his shell and wash away the traces of his tears' tracks on his face, navigating around in circles until he let his bike fall on the ground without care and his feet found its way up a familiar building.

The door quietly shut behind him and the sinister darkness inside his abode welcomed him.

Its quietness, solitude and dimness crawled to his skin, making him more susceptible to the unwanted thoughts and feelings causing mayhem to his already agitated psyche.

Brashly losing control, his chest ache in tightness and his lungs burn with each breath he takes.

He briefly closed his eyes to focus on breathing, but when he did, the scene of his last meeting with his father took possession of his consciousness, and a muffled anguish escaped his dry throat.

Anxiety mercilessly conquered his thumped soul, and Yibo can only squirm and accept the scourge torture.

The pain travelled to his head and made it throb from all the memories, both good and bad, the lies he believed, the painful truths, the moments he wish to relive and the regrets battering his torn spirit.

His hand fisted into a ball and he staggered further inside, barely trudging his shaking body to move forward until he entered his room. But he couldn't see a single thing clearly as tears continuously cloud his visions with no way of stopping it.

Aggressive rage, consumed with regret, surges to his mind, commanding his limbs to throw a fit and break everything like how broken he currently feels.

He growled and panted ferociously, barely holding his anger. Then, he let it all go.

In a matter of a few minutes, his room was in total shambles.

He hit the glass racks of his awards and collectibles, destroyed every single possession he once treasured.

He smashed and kicked whatever surrounds him. Punching, swiping, throwing, flipping and hitting everything his limbs came in contact with.

He had broken everything inside as if a hurricane had gone to destroy it. But it wasn't enough. The dreadful dark feelings still remain as they were, sprawling in every cell of his body, consuming all the light and hope left in his being.

Hope crumbling, Yibo slid back down on the wall and let his limp limbs fall on his sides.

He was barely moving, lost in the mess of his thoughts, surrendering to his life's hardships, until his bleary sight landed on colourful cards spread on the floor of darkness.
