Weeks have passed and Zhan reached the Wang's mansion after another day of toil managing the businesses he now leads, including the massive empire of the Wangs.
He knew his exhaustion will easily vanish with the presence of his significant other, so his feet traced its steps and brought him to the garden where he found Yibo transfixed stroking a white furry rabbit on his lap as he peacefully sits on his wheelchair.
Zhan can't help but frown a little, seeing his sporty and active Bo-di confined on that chair, but he's not losing hope. He knew with Yibo's will and their support, he can get back on his feet and freely do the things he wanted to do. 'Just a bit more time.' Zhan thought, thinking of Yibo's perseverance on his daily rehabilitation exercises.
As he got nearer, his slight frown turned into a smile when a reverie of a drunken Lan Zhan confessed that he liked the bunnies Wei Ying had once gifted to him. Therefore, Zhan knew how therapeutic and beneficial these bunnies were for Yibo's steadfast recovery.
"Maybe I should start getting jealous on how you pet those bunnies." Zhan remarked as he stood at Yibo's back, taking off his coat, draping it gently over Yibo's shoulder.
"Were you waiting for me?" Zhan whispered on Yibo's ears, catching the red tint on the younger's earlobes.
"Mn." Yibo shyly hummed which made Zhan's fatigue evaporate immediately.
"I'm here now." Zhan said kissing the top of Yibo's head. "It's cold in here. Should we go back in?" He asked crouching down in front of Yibo, his warm palms trying to warm up Yibo's cold hand which was stroking his favourite bunny.
Yibo shook his head vigorously, answering, "No. Not yet."
Bemused and querying, Zhan faced his beloved, seeing the crimson hue now tainting Yibo's cheeks as well. His cheeks were so pink and chubby, Zhan can't help but melt at his Didi's cuteness.
"Why not? Are these rabbits not letting you off?" Zhan pouted, playfully poking the ears of the fat bunny on Yibo's lap.
"T-The rabbits have a gift for you." Yibo stuttered, heart pounding with unease.
Zhan titled his head a little in bewilderment, when the fluffy animal was shoved on his face and he can only reflexively took hold of the rabbit in response.
The furry animal feels warm, but there was something cold on its body which touched Zhan's nose. Curious, he moved the bunny slightly away from his face and his eye caught two identical rings hanging on its neck, tied by a blue ribbon with cloud patterns.
Surprised and in disbelief, he gaped at the couple rings as his heart erupts with happiness and excitement.
His daze ended when Yibo's hands engulfed his', and Zhan's eye went a little wider seeing Yibo perfectly standing on his two stable legs.
"Y-You can now walk?!" Zhan asked in astonishment and glee.
Yibo flashed him a grin, stating his famous, "Mn." with a slight nod. Smoothly taking the rabbit off Zhan's possession and sliding the rings off it's neck.
The next thing Zhan knew, his world was in a slow-mo and the surroundings went dead silent.
Yibo crouched on his front, one knee on the ground, offering him one of the couple rings. His deep, baritone voice broke the stillness of the night, and Zhan's ears focused on ever syllable Yibo uttered, heart clenching, tightening, melting, flipping simultaneously in craze.
