"I know this sounds kinda cheesy but hear me out," I drag, raising my brows. Niall stays there patiently, awaiting my response. "Drumroll please!" I announce, he rolls his eyes drumming on the concrete.

"A..... Costume party!" His expression slumps,

"In January..." He snarks, fully making fun of the idea. My arm comes out in defense, playfully elbowing him.

"Yes you fuckhead, I'll be fun... But the rule is you have to be a character from a movie. No dumb shit like a fucking candy bar." I grimace, rolling my eyes at him and remembering Halloween of 92' when we were supposed to have matching costumes and he came to the party dressed as a Caramac bar.

"That was one fucking time!" He groans, smacking his hand over his forehead.

"And you'll never live it down." I grin, passing him the soccer ball. He takes it with his cleats pressing his foot right on top. "So, how does it feel?" Niall exclaims, shooting the ball into the net.

I shrug my shoulders at him not understanding the question. "Being a brainless oaf, no how does it feel knowing you're gonna be twenty-two in a few weeks." I take a minute to bask in the question. "Uh, I dunno like shit... Awful but at the same time kinda freeing."

"Hmm," He exhales, "Sounds very broodily of you." Scoffing at his comment, rushing over to the ball in the net and retrieving it out.

"Okay, now the more important question..." He breaks into a shit-eating grin I know all too well. "What?" I say cautiously, knowing he's never up to good.

"First who's gonna get the booze, second whats the extent of the guest list.... Who are you personally inviting?" He smirks, trying to stick his nose where it doesn't belong. His implications aren't exactly subtle, neither is the amused sheen over his blue eyes.

I sigh, keeping my sass at a minimum, "I dunno, I wasn't really wanting it to be that large of a crowd.... I already invited some of the lads from the rink... Obviously, Rory's coming..." I play with my lip like an instinct, passing the ball back and forth between us.

"You can invite whoever... I don't really care... As for the drinks... It'll be BYOB; bring your own booze." He nods his head impressed "Sounds like a plan."

"Right, well I gotta run..." He establishes, kicking the ball one last time to me and saluting with his right hand. I grin, running over and giving him a bear hug, messing his dusky brown hair.

I relax in the driver's seat of my car, turning up the music to blast in my ears. The snow started to fall, washing away any good weather we had to enjoy. I just hoped for the sake of my party the weather would decide to behave, It didn't matter much considering it was gonna be inside. I just didn't want it to have to be canceled because of a blizzard.

I made sure to step on the peddle, rushing to get to the grocery store in time so I didn't get caught in this snowy mess. Tapping my foot anxiously I pulled into the parking lot. Throwing my beanie over my curls and fixing my puffer coat around my body. I shiver at the flurries, procrastinating getting out, and going inside.

I wait further, taking out my phone and ignoring the worrisome task at hand.

To Indie: "Hey! How's my favorite bus boy?"

I send her the text, impatiently waiting for a response. Biting my cheek, watching more and more snowfall from the sky. My phone buzzes, I snap my head to it.
