"So who is this Florian guy again?" I pace rubbing my lip, the lot of them stay quiet. Indie shooting glances at Meg, ones that obviously had significance. That fact that they didn't want to elaborate frustrated me to no end.

"Magnolia?" I groan, shaking my head condescendingly. I roll my wrist, gesturing. She sighs, caressing the side of her neck.

What aren't they telling me and why is it important? I willfully wait for an answer, continue to mindlessly fidget with my lip. Yet they don't budge, lips sealed. Crickets chirping with how awkwardly lull it was.

Indie huffs, tapping her nails. She paces, darting her eyes to Meg who's looking down at the floor. "There's... a lot to unpack when it comes to... Florian." Indie emphasizes his name, widening her eyes with the syllables.

"What? This dude work for the mafia or some shit? Why are you being so bleak.." The rest of my words get cut off, "As she said, there's an abundance of things to chat about when it comes to... Him. Can we please drop it now?" Magnolia grumbles, clenching her jaw. I can see the emotion in her eyes, just couldn't tell what it was. Anger? Sadness? Hurt? What had this guy done and do I need to kick the shit out of him...

"Noliee, you can't just bring him up and then shut Harry down when he's curious..." Indie says timidly, and I can tell by the way her words come out she doesn't want to step over the line.

"You want me to spill all my secrets right here?" She sneers, slumping up from the carpet she was sitting on and sauntering over into the kitchen. Indie throws her hands up at me, shaking her head with rolled eyes.

I watch as Meg paces around the pantry, eventually taking a bottle of tequila out of the cupboard and scrounging to open it.

"Magnolia...I don't think that's a good-" Indie warns. I've never heard that come out of her mouth. It's always Meg or Noliee. "What?" She gets defensive, my heart drops with her tone. Knowing this wasn't some playful sass like earlier. Whatever was going on wasn't harmless, it meant something.

"You want me to unearth all my loss, so be it but don't get all 'Magnolia' on me when I need a drink to do it..." She jeers, holding the bottle in her small hand.

"You know what? You're right we shouldn't have brought this up!" Indie ridicules, I stand down. Caught in the fire between them.

"Yeah! You shouldn't've, but you did!" Meg spews, fire in her eyes I'd never seen before. Something that made chills crawl up my spine. "That's the problem!" She groans.

"I should... go," I mutter, keeping my tone soft.

"You think?" Indie mocks. "You should, and take Magnolia with you." Her voice is pure bitter, not a tinge of sweetness. She wanted it to sting as it left her tongue. But not for me, it was directed exactly at Meg. Magnolia exasperates as Indie storms into her room, leaving dust behind her. I sure with it Meg's ears are steaming, face red with fury. A sight I thought I'd never see and quite frankly never wanted to see.

"Can you take me home.." She mutters docilely, the tone completely changed from when she was talking to Indie. I nod hastily, taking my keys off the counter. Her face goes from angry to blank within moments, I lead her out the door. Grabbing my sweatshirt on the way, she follows me. Tucking her feet into her converse and not fully putting them on.
