Lara opens up the latest note Reggie left her. This one was in her locker, he must have slide it in there during class change. The note just said, "hey princess, will you help me with algebra this weekend again, please?" she grinned and laughed.

Luke walked up to his sister in the middle of her reading the note, "What are you laughing at?"

"Oh, the note Reggie left me. He was asking for help in math, again."

"Is that in the shape of a crane? And since when does he leave you notes?"

"Yes, and like 7th grade. He's done it for years, I really don't know how you haven't noticed. Alex and Bobby did like two years ago."

"Oh, well what does it say?"

"I just told you: he asked for help in algebra."

"Give it to me."

"No, don't break it, Luke!" He took the note from her reading it, and did not like how it started with "hey princess".

"Does he start every note with that?"

"Yeah," she took it back from him and refolded it putting it in her bag safely. "He only does that because of my Halloween costume that year. Remember? I was the Princess of Rock 'n' Roll?"

"Oh yeah. Didn't you just wear a tiara and carry your guitar around?"

"Yeah, easiest, and best, costume ever. Ok, I gotta get to English, was there something you needed other than to bother me?"

"Uh yeah. Practice is canceled today. Bobby said something about a date with and I quote "a really banging chick" so ya, no practice today."

Lara rolled her eyes, "Ugh, that's so Bobby. I'm going to smack him the next time I see him."

That was really what Bobby said, and what Luke was going to tell Lara, but now he also had to track down Reggie because he had some words for his bandmate.

The two went their separate ways and Luke went straight for Reggie, who happened to be in History with him, which was his next class.
"Reggie, do you like my sister?" Luke looked him dead in the eyes. Reggie gulped and looked scared. "So you do!"

"I- how- I didn't- I haven't told anyone! How did you find out!"

"I saw the little note you left Lara."

"The one asking her for help in math? I didn't accidentally give her-" he pulled the crane out of his pocket and sighed in relief.

"What is that?" Luke didn't even give Reggie time to respond and snatched it out of his hand opening it.

"Wait Luke-"

"You were going to ask her out? Dude, she is my sister and our bandmate! Bandmates don't date!"

"I know. I know. And no I wasn't going to ask her out. I wrote that like two years ago and keep it on me so she doesn't accidentally find it."

"Good because you can't ask her out. I won't allow it."

"I know. Why do you think I haven't?"

"Hmm. Well, maybe it would be a good thing to get over her and find a different girl."

"I tried, it didn't work. I... she's just perfect... I know I could never go out with her but I just can't help but like her. And I won't make a move on her or ask her on any dates until you say I can. I promise."

"You can ask out my sister after we play the Orpheum."

"The Orpheum? That's never going to happen, only legends get to play on that stage. Our band is still only starting to grow."

"Exactly."

"Fine, deal." The two shook hands, Luke confident that his sister and bandmate would never date. He knew Reggie would stick by his agreement and he just had to wait for Reggie to get over his little crush on his sister and things would work out perfectly. He, at the time, never thought they would actually play the Orpheum one day.
