"Reggie, come on! Stop it!" Lara laughed running away from Reggie, who was trying to tickle her. "I have my guitar! No!"
The boy chased her around his backyard with a giant grin on his face. It had been a few weeks since the two of them had the chance to hang out alone, as they were always practicing or playing a gig with the band. Sunset Curve was getting bigger and bigger and all of the teens were equally as excited about it.
"Oh come on Lars, you know the tickle monster will always win," Reggie slowly walked towards the girl who had stopped to gently set down her instrument.
"Reg, if you break my guitar I will scream. Reg," she laughed backing away from him. He laughed and started to chase her again.
Lara squealed and took off, neither of them noticing the clouds darkening, signaling a storm coming. Reggie had finally cornered Lara after ten minutes of chasing her, grabbed her by the waist, and started to tickle her. She laughed and tried her hardest to escape, but to no avail. Both teenagers did not notice the amp that was right next to them, which Lara and Reggie both tripped over, Reggie landed on top of her and the two started laughing. In the middle of their laughing fit the rain started to pour. This made them laugh even more.
"Wait, Reg. Your amp," Lara sat up and pointed at it, noticing a few wires sticking out and getting soaked.
"Oh no! Wait, I bet I could fix it."
"In the rain? Shouldn't we bring it inside first?"
"Uh, no I think it'll be fine. I just have to shove this..." he grabbed a few wires and literally shoved them back into place, "into here... and voilà!" He turned the machine on and instead of turning on it shocked him. "OW!"
"Reggie!" Lara slid over next to him to make sure he was ok. "Come on, let's go inside and let the rain finish before you electrocute yourself some more. Let's move the amp under the thing so it doesn't get even more wet," Lara grabbed his hand making sure he wasn't bleeding.
He looked up and pouted at her, "Kiss it and make it better?"
She smiled and grabbed his hand again, this time giving it a kiss. He grinned and helped her stand up, the two of them moving the amp out of the rain so they could properly fix it later, and not in the rain. They were both glad they set their guitars down inside a few minutes ago.
"Your hair is so soaked," Reggie laughed.
"My hair? You should look at yours." They both laughed, and realized how cold they were.
"Want to borrow some dry clothes?" Reggie asked as he walked to his room, he grabbed two pairs of his sweatpants and two hoodies out of his drawers. Lara came to his door with a towel already drying her hair with it.
"Yes, can I steal one of your hoodies too?" He was already handing her one as she finished her sentence, which made her grin at him and handed him the towel so he could dry his hair as well.
"Ooh we could make hot chocolate and watch Star Wars too! You know since our jam session got interrupted."
"Only if I get extra marshmallows in mine," she grinned at the boy who cheered.
She laughed and went into the bathroom to change. She just left her very soaked outfit hanging to dry, knowing that she would be staying at his house until the storm let up, even if that wasn't until tomorrow. It was not uncommon for the two to have sleepovers, although usually Luke or Alex was with them, and sometimes Bobby, when he wasn't saying sleepovers were for kids. Reggie's parents loved Lara so they would not mind her staying the night without permission, and Lara's parents knew she was either with Reggie or Luke so they knew she was safe if she didn't come home for the night.
