^Kinda what I imagine Lara to have thrown together, but maybe with a black Sunset Curve T-shirt instead.
After a night of fun, the band goes back to the studio. Julie is sitting at the piano singing the song Luke found on the piano. Her voice is angelic and the whole band is stunned. Alex goes to give Julie a hug but Luke stops him. They all vanish to just outside of the studio.
Alex questions Luke, "Dude, why'd you stop me? Julie needs a hug."
"Bro, a ghost hug isn't the feel-good moment that you think it is. All right? Trust me. What Julie needs right now is just a bit of privacy."
"You know what? I think you poofed us out because you can't handle when other people cry."
"Ya he has a good point," Lara nods her head.
"I should know. I cried in a room for 25 years, and I didn't get a single hug from either of you two. Lara is the only one who did."
Reggie sighs and opens his arms, "All right. Bring it in."
"Don't touch me!"
"This is why no one hugs you," Reggie sasses. Lara gives a small smile to Reggie for his efforts to cheer their friend up.
Luke plans, "Ok. So I think the first thing we should do, once we get the courage to go in there, is ask Julie... why she lied about playing the piano."
"Yeah, you know, maybe tell her how amazing she is," Alex shrugs.
Luke lightly hits him on the shoulder, "Yeah, of course, bro."
"Ok."
"Guys she's better than amazing," Lara laughs.
Reggie looks to Luke, "She's legit. I got ghost bumps."
A girl walks by crying.
Alex whispers, "Oh my gosh. Was she crying too?"
"Yes! And the only thing scarier than one girl crying is two girls crying," Luke panics.
"He's right."
"You guys are unbelievable," Lara shakes her head and decides to mess with them. She starts the fake sniffle like she was about to cry. The boys all freeze and turn to her. She can't keep it up with the look of pure terror on all three of their faces, she bursts into laughter. The boys sigh in relief.
Reggie points to her, "Not cool Lars, not cool." She grins at him and gives him a side hug, he returns it of course.
Luke says shaking his head at his sister, "Guys, we definitely can't go in there."
"But we can listen," Reggie snaps his fingers. The group heads over to the garage doors and crouches down enough where they can listen in.
"Carlos told me you'd be out here. We need to talk." The previously crying girl says to Julie.
"Are you ok?"
"No, I'm not ok! You just got kicked out of music! I've been up all night thinking about what I was gonna say. Might've drunk seven sodas but... I need to get this out."
"Wait. I have something to tell you-"
"No, it's my turn to talk. You can't give up music. Your music's like a gift, that would be a tragedy. So, you're basically, like, canceling Christmas, and I love Christmas!"
