"Hey Bobby, Reggie. How's the band?" Daniel crossed his arms standing in front of the two, two of his friends standing behind him. Daniel was the quarterback of the football team and nearly every girl had a crush on him.

"Uh good. We played a lot of gigs over the summer," Reggie grinned, proud of their small but growing band.

Daniel glanced from Reggie to the lockers they were standing by, "Cool. So where's Lara at? Isn't this her locker?"

"We are waiting for her, band meeting. Her locker is in the center of all of ours and it just makes sense since Luke's is only a few down as well," Bobby explained, crossing his arms as well.

"Anyways, think if I asked Lara out she'd say yes? She has gotten pretty hot over the summer," he chuckled, his buddies agreeing with him.

Reggie stiffened and lost his smile, "Ya I don't really think you're her type."

"I would leave Lara alone if I were you," Bobby interjected, both boys knowing what Daniel really wanted from Lara. Daniel didn't notice Alex and Luke walk up behind him.

"Oh right, I forgot you guys like to pass her around in your little band huh? Don't want to share with the rest of us?"

"What are you saying about my sister?" Luke said from behind Daniel, Luke was much shorter than Daniel but that did not mean he wasn't intimidating, especially when it came to protecting Lara.

Daniel turned around and smirked, "Oh just that your little band likes to take turns with your sister, I bet you allow it too."

"Lara is our best friend, we would never disrespect her like that. Unlike some people," Alex retorted getting angry.

Luke fumed, "Why exactly are you talking about my sister?"

"I just wanted in on the action. Wouldn't mind would you Luke? The guys and I noticed how hot she's gotten."

"Oh? Well, that's good to know Daniel. Whatever happened to that college chick I heard about this morning?" Lara spoke standing next to Reggie and Bobby, this made Daniel turn around again, he hadn't noticed her walk up either.

"She was just a summer thing. But I was wondering if you wanted to catch a movie this weekend?" Daniel grinned at her, not even realizing that the four boys were just waiting on Lara's permission to hit him. They knew she could handle herself but would be there to back her up if she needed it. Luke and Alex and walked to stand behind Lara with Bobby, Reggie stood next to her the entire time.

"The Daniel is asking me out on a date? Wow, I think my answer is going to be... no."

This made her boys smirk.

"Great, I'll pick you up at... wait you said no?"

"Ya, n-o. That spells no. Do I need to write it down for you?"

"No girl has ever said no to a date with me."

Lara laughed, "Ya well you also have never asked a girl who has actual taste, until now."

"You aren't even that hot anyway," Daniel frowned.

"Aww, poor baby got rejected and resorts to attempting to degrade my confidence."

"Now I get why no one ever asks you out."

"No one ever asks me out because they haven't earned the right to go out with me, they all just had the common sense to realize that before they made a fool of themselves. Unlike someone."
