Lucy wakes to a dark and empty room which only means that Jonathan left somewhere. She sighs and sits up reading the note he left taped to the fridge. She softly smiles seeing his small chicken scratch on the paper as she pulls out a thing of water. She knew deep down that Jonathan was out there hunting down the man who hurt her after she begged him all night not to. She didn't understand why his heart was so content on bringing the man down. She also didn't know why he refused to let her help him even if it was just to get him ready to do the heinous crime. She hated that he pushed her out when he was hurting but she also knew that she would do the same if she lived like he did. She only hoped he would open up more to her soon.

Her thoughts were interrupted by pleading cries outside at first she thought there was a bird high up in a tree until the cries got closer to the bunker. She scrambled outside as she saw Jonathan holding a gun to the guy's head as he begged for his life from the ground. She watches in horror as she watches Jonathan get closer to the man.

"Jonathan no! He's not worth it!" Lucy yelled, making him look at her with hate filled eyes.

"He killed our baby Lucy, he deserves to die, he deserves this bullet in his head!" he yelled back, never moving the gun.

She runs and hugs Jonathan around the waist just as he was about to pull the trigger. She holds on tight as he drops the gun to hold her close as he breaks down.

"I'm so sorry Lucy I don't know what came over me please forgive me." he cried into her shoulder.

"Oh Jonathan... Of course I forgive you... I always will," she replies petting his hair down gently.

While Lucy was trying to calm down Jonathan, neither of them noticed that the guy picked up the gun and pulled back the hammer.

"First your little bitch rejects me now you kidnap me to kill me for killing your baby well guess what now I'm going to kill you both so you can see your precious child," the man sneered as he pointed it at Lucy first.

Time seemed to slow down as Jonathan ran and tackled the guy to the ground and all Lucy could hear was a single gunshot. She covers her mouth to scared to do anything as she watches the bodies lay there. After a minute she goes over to them, moving the man that laid on top of jonathan. She cried in relief as Jonathan suddenly moved and looked at her with fear in his eyes. She cried harder as she kissed him through the tears and shakiness.

"I thought I lost you, Jonathan, never do something so reckless like that ever again!" she cried while softly hitting him.

He pretends to be offended as he pulls her to him and hugs her tightly, not wanting to let go of her. She runs her fingers through his hair as she softly hums a small tune her mother used to hum to her while she was sad. She's not sure why the thought of her mother came to mind but she quickly shook it away and refocused on jonathan. She never saw the broken side of Jonathan before let alone the sacred side. She hoped it wouldn't go away. She missed taking care of someone since she took care of her drunk uncle before he passed with kidney failure. She sighs softly as she helps him up after he gets done crying and leads him inside.

"Why are you doing this?" Jonathan asked, staring at the tub of water.

"Because you need it after today. Besides I want to take care of you so let me," she replied, pulling his shirt off then the rest of his clothes.

"No," he started stopping her. "I mean why are you doing this when I killed him? You begged me not to and now he's dead sinking to the bottom of the lake as we speak."

She sighs and makes him make eye contact with her as she pulls him closer. "I'm doing this because I love you. Yes, I begged and you stopped. He died because he held the gun and shot himself all you did was protect me from a bullet. Now get in the tub"

He sighs in defeat as he gets in as she then pulls the body wash from the shelf and begins to wash the blood off of him. She smiles when he relaxes and starts to drift off into sleep she hums softly helping him relax more as she gently washes his hair.

"I love you Lucy... I always have, always will to infinity and beyond," Jonathan said while his eyes were closed.

"And I love you, Jonathan. I always have always will to infinity and beyond," she replied back with a smile.

After the bath she gave jonathan he gave her one back in return along with a massage then sent her to sleep almost instantly. The only thing she heard before falling asleep was the sound of falling water after it went over her hair. The only time she woke was the next morning where Jonathan was in the kitchen cooking breakfast as the radio played quietly in the background.

"Good morning, handsome," she said, yawning while walking into the kitchen.

"Good morning, princess. Breakfast is almost ready," he replied, kissing her head.

She smiles watching him cook, wondering how she ever got so lucky to have Jonathan in her life. She then looked at her engagement ring and smiled more. Her dream was coming true and she couldn't believe it.

"Breakfast is served," he said, breaking her thoughts as she looked at the eggs and bacon.

"Don't forget we have that appointment to get your name changed legally since last time it was denied." she said while taking a bite of food.

He nods while sipping coffee. "Thank you for reminding me. I forgot all about it,"

She smiles and finishes eating before leaving to get changed while Jonathan cleaned up the mess. When she comes back an hour later she finds nothing but blood on the floor and Jonathan in the corner.

"Jonathan..."
