It's been a week since he's proposed and everyday he still wakes up in shock knowing that his life changed for the better. He set up a doctor's appointment for Lucy and the now growing baby in her. Jonathan was beyond worried that something bad will happen and he didn't want to think negatively but nothing good happens without something horrible following it. While Lucy was in the shower he got dressed and waited with Luka by the door.

"Man she still takes forever getting ready," Luka said laughing.

"You should see her after when it's time to do chores," Jonathan replied chuckling.

When Lucy walked out of the bathroom she was wearing a flowered blouse with skinny jeans and boots to match. Jonathan was dumbfounded by her beauty while she walked forward. It took a nudge from Lukas elbow to snap him out of the trance he was in.

"Sorry sometimes I forget to acknowledge your beauty." Jonathan said making Lucy blush a rosy color.

"Thank you Jonathan shall we go?" she asked opening the door.

Both boys nodded and followed her to the car. The trip to the doctor would be fun considering Jonathan hasn't been to the doctors since he was twelve. It took a matter of fifteen minutes to get there but it took hours to see the doctor. Ironically it was the same doctor that told Lucy the bad news a while ago. The shock on the doctors face said it all which made Luka smile.

"Well I didn't expect you Lucy what brings you here?" she asked staring at the boys.

"I am pregnant," Lucy said excitedly.

The doctor took her into the room along with Jonathan to do another test to make sure. Fifteen minutes later, she got the results and they were positive. The doctor was shocked and had no words but Jonathan could tell there was bad news coming. His heart fell not wanting to hear them but deep down he knew that he was gonna lose something and whatever it was he wasn't ready.

"Congrats but there's something you should know Lucy," The doctor started.

"What is it?" Lucy asked panic rising in her voice.

"Well, since you got pregnant it could only mean a few things. You can have the baby normally but it might cost you either your ability to walk or your life, or your baby won't make it," she explained. "But we won't know for sure till you are farther along. So please don't worry now. Go home, rest and come back next month on this day and time. I'm sure if we can stop this problem before it starts we can ensure a safe and healthy delivery."

The doctor handed her a piece of paper for her next appointment and tissue for her Lucy's tears while Jonathan held her. His heart hurt with the news but he knew it will be okay. If they lose the baby, they can adopt like they wanted to do before he found out she was pregnant. They left the office without speaking. Jonathan knew that when they arrived home Lucy would want to be alone and sure enough she did. Jonathan sat against the bunker outside while Luka crossed his arms. He said nothing after Jonathan explained everything. After a minute of waiting for a response, Jonathan got a question instead.

"Why don't you guys get an actual house instead of staying in an old bunker?" Luka asked almost scoffing.

"I've tried. She doesn't want to leave." Jonathan answered.

"She would be far more comfortable than in a rusty old bunker don't you think?" he asked.

Jonathan was getting angry and he didn't know why. He wanted to Lucy to be as comfortable as ever but if she wants to stay then they will stay.

"Listen, maybe Lucy should come home and stay wi-" Luka started before Jonathan cut him off.

"I need you to leave Luka," Jonathan said threatening.

Without further discussion Luka left spinning his tires to send a message. With that Jonathan walked into the bunker to the smell of food cooking in the kitchen. Softly smiling he walked in to see Lucy Making pancakes, sausage and bacon. He chuckled making Lucy jump and blush deeply.

"I was craving breakfast," Lucy said shyly.

"You are beyond adorable my sweet cupcake," Jonathan said kissing her head.

Lucy giggled and looked behind him. "Where's Luka? Didn't he want to stay?"

"I told him to leave. He wanted you to go home for your pregnancy," Jonathan explained leaning against the wall.

Lucy's smile faltered as she went back to cooking. "I don't want to go back. I'm happy here," she said.

Jonathan nodded and hugged her from behind kissing her cheek. He knew Luka was right but he loved Lucy more than himself and he would do anything for her. She leaned her head against him after turning off the stove. They stayed like that for a while enjoying the moment they had before Lucy walked away sighing happily.

"Come on, handsome. Let's eat before everything gets cold," she said grabbing plates.

Jonathan smiled and joined her knowing that he has never been happier. He watched her while she pulled her hair back while doing the little happy dance she does when she gets any food that's fried. The sun was setting outside which made the automatic lights come on while they sat on the bed eating the food she made. While Jonathan ate he stared at the wall blankly wondering why her brother was so keen on bringing her home. Jonathan didn't want to think badly of her only sibling but there was something off about him and Jonathan would not give up until he found out what Luka's true intentions were.

"Jonathan?" Lucy asked with the look of concern.

"Yes my love, what is it?" He asked, snapping out of his gaze.

"You were silent and you weren't answering when I talked to you. I got worried," Lucy said

"I'm sorry love. I guess I zoned out thinking about how much I love you." Jonathan said looking at her smiling.

Hours later they laid down to cuddle enjoying the comfort that they had. Soon Jonathan fell asleep holding the one person he never wanted to lose.
