A week later Jonathan and Lucy sit in the small doctors office waiting for the doctor to come to start the check up. During the past few days Lucy has been having cramps and Jonathan got worried so worried that he hasn't fallen asleep during those few days. But as they sat in that small office waiting he got even more anxious.

"Jonathan please relax everything will be fine im sure of it." Lucy said, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Jonathan sighs and sits back in the chair trying to calm down with no success. '"That one guy could have done something to you when he grabbed you, Lucy. It's hard for me to calm down. He could have done something to hurt the baby or worse.."

Before Lucy could answer the doctor came in with a soft smile on her face to help lift any sort of discomfort. The smile that said 'it will be alright'. Jonathan didn't fall for that smile he knew something bad is going to bad. He knew that he would lose his little angel before he even got the chance to hold him or her. Lucy held his hand as he's trapped in his thoughts while the doctor spoke about the testing she was going to do to see if the baby and the mother were alright. Then the doctor left to get everything ready.

"Jonathan hun you need to be here alright? I can't go through this alone." Lucy said with a small hint of worry in her voice.

"I am here, baby, I'm not going anywhere." Jonathan replied, squeezing her hand reassuringly.

"You're physically here, yes, but you are not fully here in the head, you were spaced out."

"I'm sorry baby, I'll do better to stay focused," he said with a soft smile as the doctor came back in.

After an hour they wait for the news as they both hold onto each other's hands for dear life. He wanted to have hope that he was freaking out over nothing. But his heart weighed heavy making him know deep down that him keeping hope was only a bandage to what was about to come. The air in the room seemed to vanish as the doctor came back in with that same old soft smile that Jonathan hated so much.

"Well?" Jonathan asked. "Is the baby okay?"

"I'm so sorry...there was a miscarriage. The baby died about eighteen hours ago. The trauma Lucy went through when the man grabbed her seemed to have caused an extreme amount of stress that was too much for the baby to handle. I'm sorry." She lays the paperwork down as she leaves to give them alone time.

Tears spilled down Lucy's face as rage boiled in Jonathan. He knew that man did something to her and now he will do anything to get vengeance for his lost angel. He will make that man pay with his very life. He helped Lucy get her coat on as they left the office all together. When they get to the car he sits on the passenger side too angry to cry let alone mourn for the loss of his child. Lucy tried to get him to talk but he remained silent and Lucy thought it was best to keep it

that way. When they arrived home they walked in silently.

"I need a way to work this anger out before I hurt you and god above knows I don't want to hurt you, Lucy," Jonathan said, finally looking her in the eyes.

She walks over to him after taking her coat off as she kisses him. He pulls away holding her by the shoulders before pinning her against the wall as she wraps her legs around him and kisses him again. This time he returns the kiss as he moves her to the bed and begins to take clothes off. Soon they were both naked as Lucy begged him to do it. He rams it in and wasted no time in thrusting into her like no tomorrow.

"Jonathan," she moaned as she clawed his back making him pound into her harder.

"Baby, I'm gonna cum" he moans back as he suddenly cums in her making her find her own release as she moans in his ear.

After the angry sex they laid there tangled in each others limbs, listening to the steady synchronized breathing. Jonathan knew that Lucy was hurting and is silently hoping that the news they received hours before was nothing more than a bad dream. Jonathan wished he could make it better and give her the world so she didn't have to feel this pain but he knows nothing will make it better, not even all the diamonds in the world.

"I'm going to kill him," Jonathan said silently, breaking the silence.

"You wouldn't. Jonathan you could get caught and put in jail this time for good." Lucy said getting on top of him to look him in the eyes.

"He killed our baby and he deserves to die. He's lucky i didn't kill him right then and there when i saw him grab you."

"I will not let you throw away your life because of one man who was at fault for the death of our baby."

"And I'm not going to let that son of a bitch get away with what he did to you." he shot back after setting her off to the side gently.

She says nothing, not wanting him to get angrier than what he already is. All Jonathan wanted to do was protect her from all sorts of harm and pain and the one thing he couldn't do was stop her from losing the child. Deep down he knows it was his fault for not trying hard enough to keep her safe. He knew deep down that the baby died because he didn't do his job good enough as a first time parent. He failed her and he failed his unborn child.

He comes out of his thoughts when he feels arms around him. Knowing that they belonged to Lucy he finally broke down and cried as she held him.
