Chapter Twenty
Roman's Point of view
After Raelynn and James left, Kennedy left to go talk with his parents. I was left alone which was kind of fortunate because I really needed to focus on the Mafia, it's been a while. There was also the topic of discussion which was I had to tell my father about Kennedy's dad.
I walked down the stairs until I got to the meeting hall. Fortunately my father was there, he was discussing something with Uncle Titus. I made myself known. "Father, Uncle Titius. Good evening." My father nodded in acknowledgment while Titus smiled. "Good evening, Roman." I smiled back at him before turning to my father. "I have intel on Knox.." I was a little hesitant on if I should actually tell him or not. "Really what is it?" Would it actually be a good idea to tell him.. "Knox is Kennedy's dad." and just like that it was out.
My father's face seemed to contort with anger and realization before becoming expressionless. It wasn't as much as his face but his eyes that showed his emotions.
"That's quite unexpected is it not." His voice was calm and almost monotone."Yes, it was when we first found out." I responded. He just nodded as if in thought before dismissing me. "I have paperwork in the office for you to work on." He told me before I had the chance to leave. I internally groaned but I did want to get more involved with work. I headed back and into the office before slumping into the brown leather chair. While I was doing the paperwork Rose informed me that my father was sending someone up. I silently nod, knowing that he wanted me to actually deal with him. The man walked in, he was wearing a suit but it seemed to be all over the place making him look disheveled, he reeked of alcohol as well.
"What is your business." I asked him in a bored tone. "Your father stole money from me!" He was soon pacing around the office explaining and cursing about how my father stole from him. To be honest his voice got annoying quickly "Please sit." I told him, gesturing to the chair in front of me. A thin paper cigarette hung from his bottom lip, a small trail of smoke escaping from the corner of his mouth danced its way to the ceiling above us.I just leaned back in my chair, observing him. In one of my hands a gun lay loosely, my finger gently pressed against the trigger sending a bullet millimeters away from his face and onto the wall behind me with a bang that echoed throughout the room. my eyebrow raised in amusement at his reaction; nothing, not a flinch, not a single damn thing. Very well then, guess this guy doesn't scare easily. "Do you really think you can scare me, kid?" He asked angrily only for me to chuckle.
"Very well, if you don't leave my office and forget all about your stolen money then I guess I'll just have to send some men to your house and get your precious wife and daughter- Where is it that they live again, 2157 Marion Drive?" I taunted. I wasn't actually planning on sending my men there but my father wanted me to take care of his dirty work. His face paled before contorting with anger. "You fucker, shut the hell up!" He yelled while pulling a gun out but before he could strike, I just pulled the trigger. I watched his body fall to the ground like a dead weight. I sighed. "What a shame, I really didn't want to kill him- Rose!" I yelled in an instant she was at the office door. "I need this mess cleaned up." She lowered her head, nodding. "Yes, Mr.Knight." She left and came back with a few other people and cleaned the body and the wood floor as I continued with the paperwork.

I sat back against my chair and sighed. I regret actually wanted to help out, I would much rather be with my bunny. I was about to go start stamping the papers when my gorgeous savior came in. "Are you busy?" I shook my head 'no' and beckoned him to come closer. He walked into my office and up to my chair where I was before straddling my hips where he was facing me. "Did everything with your parents go okay?" He seemed to think for a bit before responding "Yeah, we all sat down and talked. It was just..Surreal in a way. Just seeing both of my parents together in a room again, felt like it was a dream.I mean my dad was laughing literally laughing, I haven't heard him laugh in years" He turned to look me in the eye. "I really wanted the both of you to get along. I think I'm ignoring the big problem here and trying to cover it up." Kennedy laid his head on my shoulder while I just held him. "I think I'm afraid of facing the truth.. Which is the both of y'all not liking each other and then your father." I tried to see his face as I gave him a confused look.
