Chapter Twenty- Nine

"This seems like a bad idea." I tell him, wearily.

"Oh come on, this is going to be fun." Yeah right, most of the time when people say that they end up in the hospital.

"Fine but you have to hold me because I think I'm going to fall." I tell him, gripping onto his arm.

"You're fine, just relax." How am I supposed to relax when I'm on this deathtrap that could take off from under me. "See you're doing it." He praised me but it didn't calm my nerves.

"Shush up for a second!" I snapped, causing him to laugh.

"It's just a skateboard, Snowball." He mused as I wobbled, holding onto him. I gripped him tighter when the board would take off from under me. "See you're getting the hang of it!" I gave him a look of disbelief but didn't argue. He slowly let go of me until I was standing on my own, finally balancing. "Just keep your feet right there.. And you should be fine."

"I should be?!" I looked at him with wide eyes, holding my arms out to balance myself.

"Yes, you should be so don't flail like a chicken." I narrowed my eyes at his comment but focused on not falling over or moving the skateboard to take off. "You look really cute like this."

I removed my eyes from my feet and looked at him, confused until his words processed into my mind causing a blush to paint my cheeks. "Don't say things like that!" I playfully pushed him which was huge.. A HUGE mistake because the skateboard took off from under me. Vance quickly tried to catch me but hit the ground.
"Ouch." I groaned, rolling to my back.

"Are you alright?!" He asked, bending down to my level.

"I told you this was a bad idea." I tell him, sitting up.

"Kennedy, you're bleeding." He grabbed my elbow to see it, a small trickle of blood dripped down from my arm, coming from a scrape.

"Oh, I am."

"Yeah, you are. I'm sorry, beautiful."

"It's alright, it doesn't even hurt that bad, it just stings alot." I reassure him.

"Come on, my house isn't that far from here, I have a first aid kit there." I gave him a nod and stood up, he picked up our things and led me to his car. This is so embarrassing, I wonder if anyone saw it

-

"Here, this might sting a bit." I sat impatiently on the counter, swinging my legs as I waited for him to disinfect the scrape. He carefully dripped the liquid onto my elbow making me flinch and suck in a breath between my teeth. "Sorry."

"It's alright, it really doesn't hurt." I reassure him once again. Once he finished disinfecting my wound, he wrapped it up with a bandage. I thanked him but didn't jump off from the counter yet, Vance stood up from the floor and put away everything. My arm felt much better; not that it hurt before anyways. Just to make sure, I stretched my arm out then bended it to make sure. I glanced back up at him, his eye still looked bad along with his lip.
"Are you sure you're okay?"

He looked confused but soon understood what I meant. "Yes, It's not like I haven't been in fights before." He laughed it off like it was nothing.

"Don't laugh it off, he shouldn't have done that." I scowled.

"Can you blame him?" I thought about it for a second. Could I blame him? I'm not sure...
"I technically did steal his lover." Vance jokes, lightly elbowing me.
