"Yo, Bright!"
Said guy snapped his head towards the voice's direction with both brows raised in surprise, "Perth?"
Perth grinned. "There is this party at my place, two weeks from now. I expect to see your face there, so saying no is not an option. You know where I live, right?"
Of course. Perth Tanapon Sukhumpantanasan is one of the most popular guys in their university. And that his friends are the reason why everyone knows where Perth Tanapon lives.
And of course, Bright cannot say no because first, despite the small stature, Perth is buff and easily snap him like a twig, and second, that smile is blinding that he cannot help but mirror the expression without himself knowing.
Perth's smile widened when he heard Bright's answer. "You better be." He gave him two thumbs up before turning around to make his way towards Earth, who happened to exit the cafeteria. He looked up in surprise to find Perth and bashfully smiled once that person hooked his arm around his shoulder.
A perfect couple in the eyes of everyone.
"Since when did you become so friendly with him?"
Bright sighed, "Mike, please."
"What?" Mike raised his hands in surrender when Bright shot him a glare. "Fine, fine. I will stop. But that doesn't mean I'll hate him less. Who knows what kind of spell did he put on you?" He shuddered. "I don't ever want to know."
Bright was about to laugh humorlessly at his friend's behavior, but that was interrupted when he spotted Saint at the very corner in the left, staring at him with those eyes that can be compared with a lion eyeing its prey. He not minding even if one of the friends was mindlessly chattering about something Bright doesn't want to know. He cleared his throat and looked right to avoid the not comfortable eye contact, but it seems like luck was not on his side today.
On the right was Gulf, who was staring at him like he was eye candy with a hint of a challenge. In front of him was a football jock – Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat, a rich and handsome guy – and he was playing on his black necklace in a flirtatious manner. Mew was talking animatedly about something, but Gulf wasn't paying attention to him because he looked at the person of his affection, Bright. Bright was petrified, of course, so he decided to turn around and make some kind of excuse to get something from his lecturer, but then he stopped.
At the table located outside the cafeteria, there was Kimmon, who was watching him – observing him and his every move like an eagle, never leaving him in his sight. The possessiveness and authority were present, and Bright felt like the air is slowly getting thinner as every second passed.
He felt trapped.
"Mike," Bright said, maintaining the smile on his face that was painfully obvious that it was forced. But it seemed like his best friend had caught on because he also mirroring the same expression as him.
"I know. Ha. Ha. Ha." Mike laughed nervously. Teeth gritted together. "We need to get you out of here quickly." He whispered. "Because if you stay here any longer, one of them will approach you, and that will where everything falls."
Bright gulped hard at that thought. Fuck.
And as if by cue, two big arms draped over their shoulders, making them slump forward at the sudden impact. "N' Bright, N' Mike. Two boys, I wanted to see."
Pangpond Akalavut Mankalasut.
Bright desperately wanted to kiss the elder right there and then gratefully but, that would be weird, so he just beamed at him. Normally, he would frown because whenever P' Pangpond wanted them, it was just doing things that he too lazy to do it. But, now P' Pangpond is his lifesaver.
"What do you need, P'?" Mike grinned.
"Ah, the usual. I needed a hand in the gym." Pangpond laughed as he led them towards the gym. "Be a friend, and help me?"
Bright could feel the stares that boring through his head along the way. He could literally picture Saint staring at him with a confused look, Gulf watching him completely amusement, and Kimmon still looked with a blank and heated expression.
What might happen if Pangpond didn't come? Three words.
Bright's fucked up.
"HEY, THERE'S STILL PEOPLE HERE. HEY!" Bright helplessly shouted as he banged the door of the gym equipment room hard. "HEY! HEY! HELP!" He gave the door a hard kick and then yelped in pain that thundered his foot, making him fall on the floor.
"Bright, I don't think they can hear us." Godt pulled his knee up against his chest and covered half of his face in between. "If only we have our phone."
Bright's eyes went wide upon hearing that. Right, his phone! He quickly pulled out his phone from his pocket, only groaning in dismay after hearing two loud beeps indicating that the phone's battery was completely low. Fuck.
It was getting dark out, and the chilly air was beginning to envelop the room. And here they were, locked inside the school's gym equipment room with nothing to make themselves warm to survive the cold night.
Bright shifted his gaze at Godt, sitting there on the piled green mats at the very corner near the shelves where they put the gym equipment. They were all alone, with no one to hear or witness the two of them together. Godt noticed Bright looking at him, so he lifted his gaze to meet Bright in the eyes, making him gulp hard.
Oh my god.
