The sounds of shoe squeaking were heard along with the loud thumps of the ball echoed through the gym the moment Bright stepped foot inside the building. The air was suddenly humid, and the smell of sweat invaded his nostrils. It wasn't bad, nor was it pleasant either. But he sure as hell those three won't step a foot inside with this type of surroundings, so he safe here.

"Okay, so your task is for you friends, is to help me..." Pangpond flashed them a smile that too radiant and blinding that Bright fought the urge to shield his eyes away. "... Wipe these off." He threw out ball in the direction of Mike, which the latter caught, "Make them shiny and presentable. There are going to be used in a game next week, and they are going to hold it here."

Mike's ears perked up. "Oh? You mean our university's basketball team is going against other university's basketball team here?"

"Yup." Pangpond nodded and then gestured with his thumb at the group of guys playing basketball in the court behind him. "It's actually their turn to clean the balls but then, the match next week centres with them, so coach wants them to train extra hard."

The guys' basketball team is the university's pride and joy. It includes the football and soccer team for the guys. For the girls, the volleyball team was the primary sport that took the spotlights.

It all started with the legendary basketball captain, Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul, who led the team into straight victories during his region in university time. By the time he graduated, he had passed the baton to another legendary captain, Singto Prachaya Ruangroj. There were a few downs in his reign, but like Nickhun, he retained the team in its rightful glory, not even letting the opposing team win. When he graduated, the baton was now on Tor Thanapob Leeratanakajorn, the current captain of the basketball team.

He is this handsome and popular senior that everyone adores. Quiet Tor Thanapob. But contradicting his personality, he is aggressive and very serious when he entered the court. His cunning skills and unique strategies were one of the keys to why their team won the matches before. But the pressure, Bright noticed, was not on his this year.

It was on the next year's captain, the one that Tor Thanapob will pass the baton to.

Godt Itthipat Thanit.

Godt's handsome face was covered with a thin layer of sweat. His long legs were slightly shaking, hands resting on knees as he watched practice opponent dribble the balls across the court with a blank and precise stare. Even if it just practice, Godt treated every opponent seriously.

Bright stared in awe.

Godt was really different in court than outside of court. Outside, he was a handsome and talkative person who likes to make jokes. He is a cuddle-monster who likes to nip his ear during their quiet moments. But in court, he likes a whole different person.

Godt was just about to receive the ball that his teammate stole from their opponent when his eyes met Bright. As if in slow motion, the ball slipped off his hands carelessly, his eyes wide in surprise at the sight.

In a heartbeat, the flawless and invincible MPV that was Godt Itthipat Thanit turned into a person whose mouth was filled with stuttered phrases and unfinished yet understandable sentences.

"B-Bright?"

Said guy just blinked twice and waved. "Hey."
